No, you're supposed to support your parish, but there's no "pay for play" for individual sacraments. It's traditional to offer a little honorarium for weddings and baptisms, but that's the practice in Protestant churches also.

When I first watched the movie ‘Becket’ which was many years ago, I thought of Becket as the hero... I Watched it again a few weeks ago and realized that it was Henry II who was the hero. Becket was defending the church’s stance that only the church could pass judgement on their priest for transgressions made by Priest.

I’ve read that book twice but it didn’t have much of an influence on me. No, it’s just that I’m always perplexed by Catholics who get upset about some issue or other and elect to run off and join some weird sect instead doing a definitive study of the documented history of the Universal Church. Indeed almost all non-Catholic Christians except the Orthodox are simply ignorant of roughly a thousand years of the history of Christianity between the end of the apostolic age and the proliferation of the protestant sects beginning in the 16th century.
He’s evil. I don’t think he’s just an anti-pope….I think he may be the “Big Anti” himself. He is completely undermining the foundations of the Church and laughing as he throws the faithful to the winds.
