Someone posted here a few days ago, that they’re hearing that Trump is very much interested in having Ben Carson as his running mate.
The thought really excites me. I can think of a dozen reasons to have him.
The man is truly a marvel.

About the post below: We’ve got the Umpires and Referees putting the kibosh on any kind of debate in these Trump Rally threads even though I think an informed debate would be beneficial to the onlookers. Nevertheless, if you want to have a debate, which I don’t mind at all, please FReepMail me or pick another thread. However, if you want to have a friendly discussion, I don’t think the umps will stop that. But because of the rule-makers here, I won’t engage in any debate online on this thread. Thank you.
So to begin, God bless Trump for his love of America, his love of Israel, and his love of God and also his stand against the politically correct delusional lying Left. That is why I love Trump.
However, a change needs to happen. Assuming he is elected in 2024, he needs to think about the post-Trump era beginning in 2028. Trump has gotten most things done by basically dictating, most of which is unconstitutional. He’s reversed the “bad” unconstitutional acts of the Left with the “good” unconstitutional acts. But that is still the Rule of Man and America’s freedom is based on being run by the Rule of Law of the Constitution.
Trump needs to begin to relinquish dictatorship and begin the restoration of America’s unique and wonderful constitutional decentralized governance among the feds and the states and in the three branches of the feds. Good governance is slow governance, but Trump is used to doing things quickly. Dictatorships do things quickly, but America is a Free Constitutional Republic, not a dictatorship.
Having said that, the key is who and why he picks his VP who will presumptively be elected President in 2028. If he truly loves America, then he must embrace the Constitution and constitutional individual freedom from government excess. His VP must be ready, willing, and able to begin the job of dismantling the $3 trillion, 80%+ unconstitutional portion of the feds and support the constitutional sovereignty of the states. God help us.
I believe Divine Providence still watches over our beloved country which is filled with many of his people - born-again Christians. So why would Divine Providence allow this fraud in 2020? One reason I think is that it got rid of Pence who would have been the Presidential frontrunner in 2024 - a disaster like Reagan’s Bush.
Again and to repeat, the issue now is who and why Trump picks his VP who will be the presumptive frontrunner for the Presidency in 2028 after Trump’s wildly successful term.
Therefore, I’ll repost this: IMO, these are the qualifications for Trump’s VP because he will HAVE to be the one to continue the fight to MAGA in 2028 and beyond...
HE must be a non-politician fighter like Trump and totally committed to
- restoring our Free Constitutional Republic,
- immunity to the attacks of the Left while delivering fatal blows to the Left himself,
- dismantling the 80%+ unconstitutional portion of the feds,
- reinstating the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended as the Supreme Law of the Land, and
- reinstating State sovereignty, encouraging states to NOT take federal funding but become independent.
Who meets these high but necessary standards?
I’m generally against picking a woman since generally they are equivocal and tend to not be accountable or reasonable. In the main, women belong at home taking care of their family, as God who created man and woman and knows us better than we know ourselves, has directed in New Testament scripture repeatedly, but sadly is summarily ignored today.
Right now, Ramaswamy is the ONLY guy on the national stage I know of who is talking about the SINGLE MOST THREATENING issue of our time in America - the $3 tillion+, 80%+ unconstitutional portion of the federal government which is now totalitarian and MUST be dismantled or it will dismantle us.
The Natural-Born Citizen (NBC) thing: The SUPREME COURT CASE, United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898), ruled that someone is an NBC if he/she was born on U.S. soil to parents who were here legally (not necessarily citizens).
“[T]he Fourteenth Amendment affirms the ancient and fundamental rule of citizenship by birth within the territory, in the allegiance and under the protection of the country, including all children here born of resident aliens . . . ”
Although the Natural-Born Citizen (NBC) issue is debatable, the Supreme Court has ruled that if some including Vivek was born on U.S. soil to parents who were here legally (not necessarily citizens), then he is an NBC.
The non-Christian thing: How do we know he’s not a Christian? There are a lot of modern-day Pharisee types here who make up their own rules about what is required to be a born-again Christian. My Bible says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). If he’s done that, he’s a Christian. Jesus died so that Hindus and anyone else can call on his name and be saved by grace.
Besides Ramaswamy, I know of no one else who is committed to and voicing this critical issue.
Freedom first. Everything else second.

Better read it again. The court ruled that Ark was a “CITIZEN”..not a NBC.

If SCOTUS ruled..How can the issue still be debatable?
You can question/debate the merits of a Supreme Court decision but your argument should be anchored in substantive evidence not just flat, unsupported opinion as so many on FR argue.
I happen to think that the decision is sound relying on constitutional original understanding of what NBC is.

So, to use your logic, let’s assume for a moment that: A pregnant woman swam the Rio Grande last night and came ashore near Laredo. This morning she gave birth to a healthy baby boy we will name Jose. Jose is now a citizen of this fair land. When he reaches 35 years of age, little Jose can be elected President of the United States. Have I got that right?
Rats have realized that no one wants to be jailed or die for their beliefs, so they simply push it to the limit, and a few dozen notches past the peg.
What you want, or wish to debate, to discuss, here, on this forum, regards what is best for this country, means jack squat.
Nothing more than wearing out the letters on your keyboard, and achieving absolutely nothing in the real world, or even on this form.
Trump needs to get back in there, and upset the tables, nothing less will do.
However, it is not because of him personally, but what he stands for.
At this juncture, he is the symbol of the proud, head held high resistance to the US government, and everything it represents that is bad for this country. He, trump, is our jousting pole, while we sit and furiously type and meme our righteous indignation to anyone who will read it.
It is not what we want, or don't want.
It is simply that everyone else in the horizon thinks they can schmooze with the left into an acceptable compromise that will temporarily, on their watch, stall the decline.
Will Trump prevail? Not without the actual physical support of patriots, in sufficient numbers, to completely overwhelm and obliterate those who conspire to destroy this country.
Yet, we sit here and debate if Nikki or Ron are more capable in the cage, and who would make a better veep pick.
