The Republican Party of Iowa posted that reminder on X, the social media site, on Friday shortly after Casey DeSantis encouraged mothers and grandmothers from across the country to come to Iowa in support of her husband, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, in an interview on Fox News.
“We’re asking all of these moms and grandmoms to come, from wherever it might be — North Carolina, South Carolina — and to descend upon the state of Iowa to be a part of the caucus. Because you do not have to be a resident of Iowa to be able to participate in the caucus,” she said.

I left there 20 years ago when it was still great and taxes and cost of living were cheap as hell. Then Florida got trendy and now it’s ruined. House insurance went up from $2k a year to $6k a hear and hasn’t stopped climbing. DeSantis is a phony. It is participating in the caucus that is illegal for out-of-staters. As you have heard, the Iowa caucus takes place on such and such a date. Electioneering has no such date restrictions.

Trump is a populist not a Dem - there’s a difference. A conventional conservative is very unlikely to win the general. That’s the reality and will stay the reality going forward. Best get used to it.

They thought that they could sell Ron DeSantis as a powerful symbol of conservativism through posturing and pandering. Unfortunately for the DeSantis family it was unconvincing to anyone who looked beyond the campaign spin.
