The only photo I see of the holster shows it empty. Anyway, regardless of the make of the holster or whether it completely covered the trigger, I still say the first unintentional cocking should have been reason in itself to quit using that holster.
If you are on a PC go to the original picture in the article, press and hold the “ctrl” key on your keyboard and scroll up with your mouse wheel. It will enlarge the picture. If you are on a Mac, I can’t help.
Get cartridges with hard cast bullets, not hollow points. Hardcast should be used no matter what caliber handgun. Shot placement is very important. While 357 is not optimum it is capable for the task.
I’m surprised this thread hasn’t brought out the “..shoulda had a 10mm..” crowd.
nice
up for post of the day
I don’t see it anywhere in any of the 4 photos in the article, even at 500%. Which picture, and where in the picture?
It’s the middle picture with the holster on the far right. I can see it easily at 400%. You can see the black outline of the trigger guard against the brown of the holster and part of he trigger.
OK, I see what you’re talking about, the wear of the trigger and guard on the inside of the holster. I also did a more careful comparison of the gun’s trigger location in relation to the cylinder, and you’re right, it appears that that holster exposes the trigger and only covers maybe the front part of the trigger guard. Glad we got that settled, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I don’t know but if it was me I’d figure out how that hammer was getting eared back...right pronto!
Looking at my Bianchi #5BH with it’s 4”
Ruger Match Champion which I’ve carried
with Hardcast and to think it Might get Cocked without my knowledge is ludicrous.
The Trigger is fully exposed But I’ll
Never leave Out a cartridge.
It’s a very tight Rig with a strong thumb break. .Bow Hunter’s are Special.
This guy has nerves of steele and icecwater for blood!
Yuppers!
.
I’m thinking He is Not carrying BIANCHI.
Del Zysloft from near bloomsburge PA shot an 800 lb black bear many years ago. When asked how many bullets he used to kill the bear he said “all of them.” I think he had a 30-06.
And i have a .44 magnum taurus that i have a very nice custom holster for the purpose of protection in the woods while turkey hunting. And i was not really scared of the turkeys. Saw bear scat and a killing field of what looked like the remains of a deer on top of the mountain. (blue mountain, PA) not really a mountain.
