It is remarkable how bad your predictions on this subject have been.
“It is remarkable how bad your predictions on this subject have been.”
Those predictions are now verifiable history, and Russia has lost a fortune due to sanctions.
At the link I provided above, anyone can review the actual data on the prices of Brent and Urals crude, and see the effect of the sanctions.
Russia lost tens of billions of dollars, just on the discount that it now has to offer on its Urals crude (not even counting the higher expenses it must now pay, or the higher theft occurring by their mafia middleman smugglers).
The losses have been much worse on Russia’s exports of refined petroleum products (like diesel or gasoline), which historically have provided more total profit than their crude oil exports.
The losses on Natural Gas exports have been even greater still, than those on refined petroleum products.
According to Russia’s own Ministry of Finance, total oil and gas revenues are down 2/3rds from 2021 - and that is in rubles. The value of the ruble itself has declined significantly against the dollar as well, since Putin’s disastrous 2022 invasion.
While revenues have tanked, Russian spending on the Military has exploded (pun intended). They may as well heap what remaining wealth they have onto a bonfire, and not have to ship it all the way to the Ukraine to be destroyed.
Laughing all the way to the poorhouse.
It’s absolutely incredible how consistently wrong your predictions on this forum have been regarding sanctions against Russia.
It is not even possible for you to have been more dramatically wrong.
Yet you are not humbled at all.
That’s something
