The propaganda media has mostly shown family (women and young children) groups coming towards the border to play on the sympathetic emotions of people around the USA, who are largely unaware of the actual situation. As long as the dishonest asylum-seeking border crossers stayed in the border states, the blue states did not care one bit.
Texas is trying to do that. Biden abd Demx are trying to prevent Texas from stopping illegals.
Gee, Mr Bonehead Mayor.....and, you expect TX to deal with these possibly armed and dangerous invaders, all on our own?

You can order them to return to the border, but what consequence can you impose on the bus driver or the illegals if they leave the bus?
How can the mayor of a city enforce Federal immigration laws if the governor of a state, e.g. Arizona, can’t.
This mayor needs to call 911, report the incident, and wait patiently for the response from INS.
Don’t understand the destination. New Jersey is not going to flip its votes.
Send them to Pittsburg and Philly. Send to Madison. Send to Lansing. Not to downtown Blue City. Send to the suburbs where there are flippable votes.

It doesn’t matter. Since 2019 New Jersey has been a sanctuary state.
That gives Edison a choice. Keep on accepting illegals and watch your town go bankrupt. And deal with the increase in crime as best you can.
Or start voting Republican. In particular, vote Trump.
I question the legality of telling someone they cannot deboard a vehicle within town limits. Does this “law” only apply to chartered buses? How about scheduled bus and train service? Would it apply to an airplane that federal law states cannot hold passengers onboard indefinitely? Could it also apply to private vehicles?
What happens if the driver legally parks the bus and just walks away to comply with federal duty and rest regulations? Are the police not worried that there may be human trafficking involved, drug smuggling, illegal ‘assault weapons’, fugitives from the law?
While I wish none of these people would be on American soil to begin with, at least make it as painful for the leftist politicians and inconvenient for the interlopers as possible.

Edison actually has a huge number of Indian immigrants and they generally look down upon and want nothing to do with other immigrants. They certainly do not want to pay for them.
