Spain surrendered to the communists after a terrorist attack and the promise of more terrorist attacks if spaniards did not surrender to the communists in Madrid 2004.
“Dictatorship and tyranny is not a valid path for Christians. “
So where in the Bible does it say any such thing ?
What I read in the Bible, it acknowledges the legitimacy of Tribal Chieftains, Clan Rule, Monarchy, Judgeship, Emperor.
No-where does it affirm the legitimacy of either Republic or Democracy.
Correct !
The “Antifa Conservatives” on here will never forgive Franco for actually defeating leftists.
I just watched this today. It was a great report. They outlined:
1) contrary to what we are taught, the commies were incredibly evil, brutal and murderous long before Franco came along. They murdered priests and nuns. They murdered opposition political leaders. They murdered anybody they thought opposed them - including other flavors of Commies!
2) No, the Commies were not “democrats”.
3) No, Franco was not a fascist. He was more like an old line authoritarian conservative.
4) The Commies in Spain were DIRECTLY backed by Stalin/the Soviet Union.
5) Unlike the Commies, Franco didn’t wantonly murder everybody who he even suspected of disliking him or his rule.
No wonder the socialists in Spain are having a hissy fit about this report.
Hillsdale College is another.
A former colleague of mine ran their fundraising apparatus.
Maybe still does.
He also headed up a Tea Party Org.
Well, he was the figure head.
Also used to be a California House Rep.
Your post does not seem cognizant that “He shall rule them with an IRON SCEPTER.”
This is the descriptor of the physical, Earthly reign of the Victorious Christ.
“Gentle Jesus meek and mild”?
That was THEN.
THIS guy is gonna be next level.
If it weren’t for the fact that His very being defines love and therefore — necessarily — every one of His acts is inherently loving, NOBODY could abide the absolute scope of His dominion.
BUT SINCE His very being defines love and therefore — necessarily — every one of His acts is inherently loving, EVERYONE will not merely abide His rule, but thrive under it.
Dictatorship isn’t a valid path for Christians, it’s the destiny of the whole world; it’s just that There Can Be Only One.
I am cognizant that we all have God-given individual rights.
I am also aware of the passage you are so terribly loosely quoting that it has lost all meaning.
Any nation that suffers a dictatorship is proof that they were terribly worldly in the immediate prior instant. John Philpot Currant is famously known for saying that “It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt”
If you can find out what Spain was guilty of prior to the fascist dictatorship, you’ll understand why they were inflicted by it. That was the punishment for their guilt.
Ironically enough, exactly what the Biblical passage you are quoting states.

Some words like justice, mercy and love need to be defined.
God MUST be just. It is the very essence of His Holiness.
Mercy is at his discretion; he does not have to be merciful.
Love has a vast meaning. It is not the first thought that comes in your mind.
There were times the Israelites wished God would go love someone else. Being chosen is not an easy path.
In the beginning his rhetoric was very anti-Semitic, but he didn't actually persecute the Jews. In fact, he saved no telling how many Jewish lives, enabling Jewish refugees to escape occupied Europe, and I was once told he "tried to make up for the brutality" of previous centuries.
Unfortunately, his government was very anti-Israel and while he had diplomatic relations with Nasser (Communist) Egypt, he didn't have relations with Israel until 1967.
It really is a shame that American conservatism and chrstianity are so unique in the world.
