Hope you can make your SUV a little happier this week.
Good evening, Clay Moore...I remember seeing a couple letters my Dad sent home to my Mom with cut outs.
I can just imagine the trouble your uncles had.
Our thanks to your uncles for their service to our country.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Glad to see you are still with power. Stay safe and stay warm!!!
Cold front now. Stayin’ home!
What he was REALLY looking for was a single peanut shell. They were all doubles. Somehow, if he gets a single he can “stow” it and then take a double in his beak. He can’t handle 2 doubles.
Stay warm and safe inside. Sure glad you don’t have outdoor cats.
Howdy, luvie.
Was it a nippy trip to church this morning?
It was nippy here today and now everything’s turning white. :-(
Home is a great place to be. Stay warm and safe!!
Good evening, luvie...he gave his all. A true hero!!
LOL! Too funny, that jay. And apparently smart.
But not smart enough to check the other peanuts you’d tossed out to see if there were any singles in the mix.
As long as no one has a car wreck that takes out a power pole, we’ll be safe and warm. Well, we’d be a little warmer if Lessa, Arabelle, Lily, and Lorien would STAY OFF OF THE VENTS! LOL They keep hogging the heat and the rest of us get chilly. Lil stinkers, they are.
Too smart kitties...they know the best places to stay toasty warm.
It was beyond “nippy” going to church. It was 13 degrees of pure cold. I had to thaw the kitties water this morning and then again about an hour ago after the sun went down. Right now, it’s 13 degrees again. All kitties are present and accounted for.
Shadow came in for a while, but Ginger was getting her back up, so when he came back from the garage to the kitchen, I put him out. He’s got a very thick coat, so I don’t worry as much about him as I do Grey and Li’l Bit who don’t seem to have thick undercoats.
I saw where the worst snowfall was likely to be in your area. 4-7 inches or something like it. This go-round. I hope you don’t get that much. I hope you don’t have to leave the house for anything. Is the well house in order?
Most certainly he is one of our finest heroes!
But not smart enough to figure out they’ll get whacked with the stick every time I see them on the vents. LOL
Maybe if I throw the electric blanket on the living room floor and turn it on, they’ll be happy with that. Keeping them off the vents will make everyone happy.
Yesterday Gizmo and I chilled out in front of the heater and had a really good supper from Sonic.
Hang in there Gizmo, This cold spell will end soon.
Meanwhile, our public school district has cancelled classes for today because they're having problems keeping their classrooms warm. I'll bet the kids are also ready for this cold spell to end too.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Oof! That IS nippy! We’ll be there by tomorrow morning, then a couple of nights in single digits.
Poor Shadow. At least he got to warm up for a little while. I hope they’re all tucked away in the warm spots you set up.
Yep, they’ve been saying for a couple of days that we’ll get the brunt of the snowfall in this area. It’s not snowing a lot tonight but will pick up steam as the night wears on, and really bust loose tomorrow. There’s about an inch on the ground now.
The well house is fine for now but I’ll keep tabs on it the next few days.
I did go out for a drive this afternoon just to get out of the house for a little while.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Poor Gizmo looks so sad because he didn’t get to romp. I hope the Sonic supper cheered him up.
A lot of schools here are closed through at least Tuesday due to the cold and the snow. They don’t want any children standing outside waiting for their buses in the frigid weather, and the roads will be so bad. There have already been a lot of wrecks and the snow’s just getting started.
Stay warm!
Just going out to put food in the dishes, which are very near the back door, was hurtful. I can now understand how a person can get frostbite so easily if out in this kind of cold. And yours will be worse!
I don’t know if they are getting in the warm spots or not. They seem not to like them much this year. It’s the same set-up I’ve had for the past years that they’ve been here, too. l did put one more little self-heated pad on the rug by the back door and one on top of the carrier in front [Ginger and Peaches weren’t using them LOL] and Grey has called dubs on the one in back. Whatever it takes to give them some ease.
I’m glad you were able to get out for a bit this afternoon. You must have felt like you’d been released from jail. LOL!
I thought some of them spent time in the garden shed out back. Are they shut out of there now? They really need to be somewhere out of the elements, even if it’s just a box, especially if there’s any wind at all when it’s this cold.
When we let some of our cats stay outside, I had boxes set up in the outbuildings I knew the cats hung out in and they liked them. Kittehs luvs boxes. LOL I keep a couple in the livingroom most of the time and they’re always occupied. Just have one in there at the moment and that’s Pixie’s. She’s curled up in a ball in it now.
It was nice getting out for a little while. Now it’ll just be going to the well house to check the heater and if I can stand it, walk a round a little to get snow pics when there’s more snow.
