Good evening, and thank you radu!

Hope you’re doing well.

my cat WILL NOT get off my keyboard tonight, he’s being extra wacky this evening. Not sure how much keyboard time I’m getting as Louie is hogging it all, LOL!

Did you escape nasty weather?
Sure wish I had. Snow’s pretty to look at but only if it’s video or pics of it somewhere else! LOL

I saw that you are getting the wintry weather, it’s very cold, and did snow a bit overnight.

Just waiting this out another day and it should warm up a bit on Wednesday.

Oooooooh, I wish we would warm up so soon. We’ll barely get above Freezing Thursday, then back into the deep freeze through the weekend. We’ll finally get up into the 40s next Monday.

I’m glad you got snow rather than ice! Ice is more dangerous.

At least Louie is just hogging your keyboard, aggravating as that is.
Arabelle, Lessa, Lorien, and Willow have been hogging the heat by lying on the vents in the floor. I finally laid out an electric blanket and turned it on for them. That’s helped a lot but I still have to run cat body off a vent occasionally. And it isn’t cold in here.

Learning from Mistakes

Bible in a Year :

These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us.

1 Corinthians 10:11

To help avoid future financial mistakes, such as those in 1929 and 2008 that brought down the world’s economy, the Library of Mistakes was founded in Edinburgh, Scotland. It features a collection of more than two thousand books that can help educate the next generation of economists. And it serves as a perfect example of how, according to the library’s curators, “smart people keep doing stupid things.” The curators believe that the only way to build a strong economy is to learn from prior mistakes.

Paul reminded the Corinthians that one way to avoid yielding to temptation and to have a strong spiritual life is to learn from the mistakes of God’s people in the past. So to make sure they wouldn’t become overconfident with their spiritual privilege, the apostle used ancient Israel’s failures as an example from which to gain wisdom. The Israelites engaged in idolatry, chose to “commit sexual immorality,” grumbled about the plans and purposes of God, and rebelled against His leaders. Due to their sin, they experienced His discipline (1 Corinthians 10:7–10). Paul presented these historical “examples” from Scripture to help believers in Jesus avoid repeating Israel’s mistakes (v. 11).

As God helps us, let’s learn from our mistakes and those made by others so that we might gain a heart of obedience for Him. .

Reflect & Pray

What warning should we recall when tempted to sin? How can we learn from our mistakes as well as the mistakes of others?

Dear God, please help me learn from failures so that I might be more obedient to You.

Howdy,luvie.

Did all the kitties venture out for supper or did they stay holed up in their warm spots. It’s not fit for man nor beast tonight. BRRRRRRRRRR

They were all there, but have disappeared now. I did put a mug warmer under their water dish to see if the water stays thawed. It’s an experiment. Shadow came inside a couple of times, but wanted back out after a bit.

It is indeed bitter tonight. 16 and windy already with a “feel-like” of -3. I HOPE the kitties are in a warm spot....but they will do what they will do. I was just so relieved that they all showed up for breakfast this morning! I was worried.

How are things there? Right now we have about the same temperature. Is it still snowing? That would add insult to injury.

I figured they would stick around long if they even bothered to slip out to eat.

Your wind must blowing pretty hard for that wind chill. There’s a little breeze here but it doesn’t feel too bad if bundled up enough. I was just outside a few minutes ago to measure the snow. Got 7 inches today. It’s still spitting a few teeny pellets but the main event passed off to the east about three hours ago.

A very pleasant good Tuesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Lauren for this morning's thread.

We had chicken for supper yesterday.

And we did a ride in the country yesterday. This was Giz after we got back.

We're forecast to today be at 28 for a high. The Wind Chill Advisory expires at noon today. If all goes as plan, we should resume our daily walking exercises tomorrow.

How's everyone doing this morning?
