Stop looking at the poor blokes voting left, and look at their leadership. It's the leadership in America that opened the door to let those immigrants in. And it's the leadership that is destroying the country and its institutions in a way the poor never could. And those leaders aren't immigrants. They come from WASPY Ivy League circles by and large, with bloodlines that may go back to the Mayflower for all it matters.

The irony is that with Trump and the political realignment he represents, the culturally conservative immigrant block may well swing behind conservative American factions rather than the woke worldview of marxists that have been such a blight in their own homelands. Don't screw that up. I'm not saying illegal immigration isn't a problem or that we should have an open border, just that the border is a symptom more than a root cause. If you shut the border and declare victory, I guarantee it will be for nought, like the conservatives who thought striking down Roe v. Wade was a final victory rather than merely an opportunity to effect real change.

All immigration is the problem, that is why JFK ran on and fought for the democrats implementing a replacement immigration policy that would overrun and defeat the American people.

Take one example, California, do you think the white Californians suddenly reversed their politics and that is how we lost California?

As a white Californian prior to 2000, I found the advent of "motor voter" filled the voting rolls with illegal, non-citizen voters. My vote as a US citizen and legal resident of California was overwhelmed by the illegals on the voting rolls. I had lost my representation. I was reduced to a mule to generate tax revenue that would be spent in ways I opposed. My only recourse was a move to Idaho where my vote still counted.

After Obama took office, my contracts evaporated. I was still "employed", but with no contracts to cover my labor and salary. A project in San Diego that required my physical presence to work was a viable alternative. My family stayed home in Idaho. I rented a room in San Diego and worked the contract. It was supposed to be 3 weeks, but stretched from June 2009 to Sept 2014. My employer agreed to tax my earning based on where I was physically doing the work (even as an Idaho resident). California AND Idaho taxed my income. Sometimes even Nebraska and Virginia taxed it. Very complex working for an employer with a presence in nearly every state and tracking taxable labor for every state, every year. I'm thankful for a stable Idaho presence from Sept 2014 to the present.

I come from the WASPY bloodlines that go back to the Mayflower. I'm not an Ivy league lefty. You are smearing with too broad a brush. I suggest narrowing to just the Ivy League crew. They are a peculiar subset.

Instead of College loans guaranteed by government, how about Mortgages, backed by govt, contingent on Marriage, steady job for the Husband, and a Mother who gets paid 1/4 of the mortgage with each child born. Of course contingent on long term marriage. Women will be having 3 or 4 children in no time. Families will have houses, and of course the bills must be paid on time. If the loan is defaulted, the couple pay it all back, minus what they have into it. Not a perfect proposal, but something to kickstart families. Oh yeah, ONLY Citizens are eligible.

Of course if a Husband and wife can’t afford the down payment, once they have 2 children, the govt can foot them 25% of the price. Again, not perfect. Somebody much smarter than me can fine tune it.

At the Bicentennial, there were roughly 250 million people in the country. Without mass immigration, the population would be similar today. Housing would be cheaper, land would be more easily bought etc. Roads, schools, govt would be smaller and less of it.

Quit feeding them. Sell them the tools and the tech to farm, ranch, and to drill wells. Step back and watch them rise or fall on their own. NOT the USA’s problem.

My point was simply that the real problem is not with the country people originate from so much as their ideology. And there is plenty of bad ideology born in the USA now. I’ve spent a goodly amount of time in Central America as well as with legal Hispanic immigrants who have worked for me, and I prefer them and their values over what I see coming out of the public school system these days. Indeed by the end of my last job I was flatly refusing to hire anyone under 40 unless they were a legal immigrant or from a dissident background (homeschooled, Mennonite/Amish, etc.) Too many problems with the “standard” American natives.

I'm underwhelmed with the product of the USA school system. My employer has a big HR department with a pretty sophisticated recruitment process. By the time I'm interviewing an applicant to fill a position on my development team, the "chaff" has been removed. It's a matter of merit with skill sets and "fit" with the rest of the team. My preference is a high performer. HR checks their boxes and I check mine.

I think one can’t underestimate the value of a shared culture. It is a bond that transcends party politics, presidential “mandates,” and “woke” narratives.

The true purpose behind our Biden border catastrophe is the intentional eradication of our traditional American culture.
