Not DC . . . Fawcett. DC now has the rights to the characters and botched it horrifically. There is only one real Captain Marvel.

He was a bigger deal than Superman for a while. DC unjustly sued him into oblivion. DC eventually bought the rights to the character and the stories, but NOT the name Captain Marvel, which Marvel Comics (formerly Atlas and Timely) bought. Their first fake Captain Marvel was largely to use the name.

My screen name is for Captain Marvel’s nemesis, a bald headed evil mad scientist who predates Lex Luther by some time.
