Not under current conditions. Due to funding from Iran and the Muslim petrostates, Islamists have the upper hand. Plausibly, that would change if there was a major technological revolution that led to a new cheap and reliable source of energy that ended the current pivotal role of fossil fuels. If that happened, Islam, deprived of funding, might recede as a threat.
