From what has been released so far, it seems clear that DeWit was conveying a tentative offer to Lake on behalf of interests that he was speaking for. I am old enough and I and my family have been active in politics long enough to know of similar situations. DeWit is a weasel caught on tape.

Based on the recorded evidence, this goes far beyond DeWit.

She’s a former news anchor and a political neophyte. I doubt she is capable of the duplicity and cunningness required to even attempt to achieve what he says. The establishment hates her so she has no real support within the party, which is what she would need to pull this off. Jeff just needs to shut up and go away.

Kari Lake is tough and smart. She was smart enough to record the conversation AND have her daughter listen in to confirm the conversation. The only question now is who now becomes the state party chair? Kari should get to pick who it is.
