During Karl Marx's lifetime, only religious Zionism existed. Karl Marx was an an antisemite, who called for the end of Judaism and Jewishness. The communist solution to the Jewish question is cultural genocide, and communists have always been antisemitic. Marxists were anti-zionists opposing all forms of Zionism including Labour Zionism. Stalin did nominally support the creation of the Modern State of Israel, but only as a tool against the Britis Empire. Moreover, he expected communists in Israel to hijack it and create a binational communist state, where Judaism would be suppressed. That's still anti-Zionism. When this failed and in response to support for Israel by Soviet-subject Jews, Stalin reverted to antisemitic form. Stalin launched a campaign against "rootless cosmopolitans." This progressed into the Doctors Plot and Stalin's planned final solution to the Jewish Question, a death march into Siberia. The Soviet Union and the Communist International led the war on Israel for the next 40 years. The current PC claims that Israel is a priviledged White colonial state oppressing indigenous Arabs is literal communist propoganda. But it went beyong propoganda to arming the Arabs against Israel. The Soviets were behind communist-Islamist-Arab Nationalist jihad against Israel in 1967, which fortunately failed miserably. Soviet advisors and pilots actively flew combat sorties against Israel in the War of Attrition in 1969-1971 over the Sinai peninsula. When the 1973 Communist-Arab war on Israel broke down and its Arab puppets were losing, the Soviets didn't just send weapons. They threatened to invade Israel and to nuke it.

No. A minority of Bolsheviks and communists were apostates from Judaism to said antisemitic death cult. Judaism was a crime in the USSR and it was more antisemitic than Czar Russia, which allowed Jews to practice in the Pale of Settlement. People of Jewish ancestry aren't the majority of communists party members even in Israel. Arabs are.
