She could never have been "elected" without help from RINO officials. If their candidate Karrin Taylor Robson had beaten Kari Lake in the primary, she would also have been allowed to win the general election. Yay team. But the RINOs would rather hand functional control of Arizona over to the cartels than to Trump supporters - so we can guess at how much money is at stake for them and the rest of the Deep State if the border is ever truly closed.
I am starting to think of Arizona as a lost cause, already - like Georgia.
Republican voters get on with their jobs. Democrat pols work furiously to make sure they can never be removed. You will see gerrymandering, influx of illegals and changes to voting and the legislatures will be lost.
You bring up an interesting point about AZ. I had not considered its significance as a border state. It does seem that the entire southern border is the Democrats’ target.

First border patrol agents don’t have the authority to arrest the national guard and second they don’t have the hardware. The Texas National Guard is the military. Nobody is going to kick the National Guard out of Eagle Pass unless they decide to go.

Is it Texas National Guard? Or Texas Military Department?
Both have been discussed as being used to defend the Texas border, but I thought Abbott was relying on the (not Federal) Texas Military Department. The big difference being that Biden could activate the Texas NG to follow Federal orders as opposed to the Texas MD is only state-run.
Did I not see Texas Military Department employment opportunities posted here yesterday? I was polishing up my resumé.

That is a very relevant question. My friends in the USBP were heavily in favor of the Texas move to fortify the border. One of those "'bout time" type conversations.
