Our representatives don’t even pretend to represent us.

We don’t need a bill. Enforce the existing hundreds of laws!

If there’s no will to enforce existing law, where is the will going to come from to enforce a new law?

The reason we ended up where we are is the members decided, since it was never going to become law, they didn’t want to deal with it

Gee, I wonder why they would not put their seats on the line for a piece of toxic legislation that was not going to pass anyway.

The stupid burns.

I wonder if certain politicians, esp. Leadership, are so compromised they are threatened with being beaten to death if they don’t do as told? Remember Harry Reid, bruised, bloodied, and blinded in one eye? And Mitch a while back too?

Biden and Mayorkas have absolutely everything they need to secure the border. Always have. Other than the desire to do so.

Yep. He threw Lankford to the wolves. Lankford thought he could deal, and got punk’d.

McConnell needs to go. Yesterday.

No. For sake of argument let’s take him and Lankford as sincere. The latter sat down for all these intensive negotiations for four months, late nights, weekends, during religious observances, the whole thing. Plainly, the mood of the electorate supports zero illegal immigration and asylum laws that only the truly at risk can take advantage of. So, what he comes up with is… this? Craven capitulation and these wonky “state of emergency” provisions that everyone knows the administration will not enforce or will use only to facilitate more immigration

Thank Lankford, he’s some kind of wicked, or some kind of stupid. I’ll let him choose which.

It would be wrong for Trump to demand that they break their deal with the Democrats to secure the border by actually securing the border,
