Judge Amit P. Mehta was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on December 22, 2014. Born in Patan, India, Judge Mehta received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Georgetown University in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1997.
I believe he has also served on the FISA Court. First generation swamp creature.

And Boasberg was grinning that weird leer of his from the bench when Mehta was sworn in.
The clearance required to be on a FISA court is normally so stringent that a foreign born person will take 2-3 years to get such a clearance, if at all.
So how did this guy get through? He’s not even vaguely “American”, hyphen or not.
