My “tin foil hat” theory is that Biden was originally set up to lose in 2020. It never made sense to me that every one of the younger and more promising candidates was told to step aside and make way for a decrepit, senile old fool who was a retarded dope even in his prime decades earlier, and whose first foray into presidential politics came all the way back in 1984.

I speculated at the time that he was being put up as the 2020 version of pathetic losers like Walter Mondale and Bob Dole.

The timing of the whole 2020 primary process feeds my suspicions. The Democrats cleared the decks for Biden on Super Tuesday — which was March 3rd. Within two weeks the whole political landscape blew up with the COVID hysteria, which put the previously inevitable Trump re-election scenario suddenly in doubt. By then it was too late to change horses and go with another candidate who had more charisma and a brighter future instead of the broken-down old loser they had pushed onto the stage.

I heard this AM on FoxBusiness that Robert Hur was appointed by President Trump.

Is this true? ...and does it matter?

This. This release follows the drip drip release of evidence against Hunter. They release the evidence and let congressional Republicans do their work.

There is no way Treasury would have released the suspicious transaction reports to Congress unless there was a strong move in the party to keep Biden off the 2024 ballot.

Your analysis makes perfect sense. Biden was at the end of his career, and was the perfect throwaway. People tend to ignore the dynamic and opportunistic character of politics.

I’ve seen nothing to suggest that any such test occurred. Hur seems to focus on what jurors would think. That ignores the fact that prosecutors could present video of Biden from the time the crimes were committed, as well as numerous public declarations by Biden’s doctors saying he is fit as the “typical” whatever-year-old. Hur wanted an excuse to avoid prosecuting Biden, and took it.

This is a little off topic but there is some very weird wording in the report.

Check this out:

“It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him — by then a former president well into his eighties — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

Wait a minute.

Let us run the timeline here.

Joe Biden is currently 81 years old.

If he lost the election and was indicted then he probably would have been 82 or so when the jury heard the case.

Now look again at the exact language “well into his eighties”.

That means the special prosecutor believes that Biden will be re-elected.

You want conspiracy theories, folks—knock yourselves out with that!

Interesting pickup and concept. An argument against your concept would be the difficulty Biden would have presenting himself as capable of being President, while doing the non compos mentis act in court. I think Hur believes Biden is done.
