You can do something to protect your children from measles by ensuring they are vaccinated. You can’t do anything to protect your children from illegal migrants. Your choice, how important are your children?

Yep, I also had Chicken Pox in 3rd grade.

That wasn’t real bad except for the itching little blisters.

Never had Mumps that I’m aware of...............

“The reason why there is a measles outbreak in Florida schools is because too many parents have not had their children protected by the safe and effective measles vaccine,” said John P. Moore, a professor of microbiology and immunology at Weill Cornell Medical College. “And why is that? It’s because anti-vaccine sentiment in Florida comes from the top of the public health food-chain: Joseph Ladapo.”:

Baloney. Liberal run states yrs ago started allowing parents to opt out of vaccinating their kids.
BTW - Ladapo has only been Surgeon General for 2 1/2 yrs.

If it were Texas, Arizona, New York, California or illinois, I’d agree. But we don’t have illegals here. We send them to other states.

OK, just checked with my wife (a teacher aide in Marion County, FL school district).

She says kids can get an excuse for religious reasons. Not sure how well that would work for muslims here in a deep Red Florida county...

Measles? We aren’t talking polio.

In our current state of hysteria about vaccinations, we need not throw out the baby with the bathwater...not all vaccines are monstrous instruments of the NWO. Some are safer than others and there usually is some risk/benefit study of them before their long-term deployment.

But what happened with the Covid (and probably other vaccines) was an op of dubious, nonexistent, or manipulated data about safety of new vaccines carried by the media and the squelching of any contrary views. This of course, we see after having so much revealed to us in the past three years, is the modus operandi of the agencies.

With Covid, it was a virus, altered to become more transmissible and lethal, a bioweapon of which the remedy was another bioweapon. Safety data was absent, concealed, altered, or fabricated. The timing of its deployment was right NOW in our POTUS election cycle, aiming to keep the China/USA traitors in business and in ascendency, by keeping Trump out of the picture.

The solution is a complete change of personnel at CDC and NIH. We need more CLARITY and TRANSPARENCY on the safety and efficacy research of vaccines.

That is one good thing that must come out of this mass murder called the Covid epidemic.

Looks like the regime has decided Ladapo has to be drummed out and blamed for the measles that is going around.

There is one major reason that people no longer want vaccines and the real people responsible for that are Big Pharma and the Biden regime for forcing and promoting a very worthless and dangerous experimental vax on people.

The more these snake oil salesmen, who people totally have lost any trust in, pimp their poison, the fewer will listen.

Instead of admitting error and taking responsibility, the way they try to regain credibility is by stifling speech and punishing the people who expose what they have done.

Canceling people, censoring videos, sending the DOJ after them, is not a way to regain credibility.

That’s what we did when our kids were young. In fact, we sought it out - it was called a measles party - when our friends kids had measles we purposely planned a picnic or sleepover.

There were two reasons for this: it was convenient to have all the neighborhood kids go through it at once - and we wanted to make sure they all got it when they were young.

People seem to have forgotten that exposure is what builds immunity - vaccines are simply an artificial way of exposing the immune system - letting them get exposed naturally is very much the same thing.

The only reason a vaccine would be preferable is if the disease is life threatening enough that natural exposure is too risky - a vaccine could presumably be easier to control and monitor.

I believe this is why Big Pharma had to greatly exaggerate the danger of Covid - if it was known how non life-threatening it was, then natural exposure would have been the way to deal with it - as we do with colds and flus (most of us at least).

They really want to sell those flu shots and Covid vaccines.

Natural immunity is always superior to vaccine immunity.

The only things I wouldn’t take chances with are tetanus, small pox, polio, and rabies. Whooping cough can be pretty bad, too.

But the plethora of diseases kids are vaccinated against is far too much. They start way too soon and give too much at one time. NOBODY encounters that many diseases at the same instant as are given in a batch of polio, chicken pox, DPT, and MMR shots in one day. That is far too much for anyone’s immune system to deal with at once, much less the un developed one of a 2, 4, or 6 month old, or even a 2 year old.

If one is needed, then give them one at a time, spaced out in a reasonable schedule.

Back in 1979 our first-born almost died from getting the full DPT at around 6 months old. We got her home and a while later her temperature spiked and her air tube started to close up and she turned beet red and couldn’t breathe - then her temperature started to crash and she went pale and we couldn’t hear any breathing - we though we lost her.

We called the ambulance but they said it would be faster if we took her (about 5-10 minutes away). They said I could try little puffs of air with mouth to mouth but only from my cheeks so as not to force too much.

My wife drove and I finally could see some breathing - by the time we got to the hospital she was ok and we overheard a doctor say something about “panicking parents”. I was furious but even more relieved so I said nothing.

Just then she had another episode and the same thing happened all over - and it was the doctor’s turn to panic.

Two years later when my son went for his shot they were only doing half doses.

So scary.

In 2014, there was a measles outbreak in a largely-unvaccinated Ohio Amish community. The infection was brought into Ohio by two Amish missionaries returning from the Philippines. Here are some data on that community - note that about 1-2% of the Amish (who were largely unvaccinated) contracted measles :

It’s also noteworthy that nobody died from measles during this outbreak. Equally noteworthy was that the local officials worked with - not against - the Amish and more folks got vaccinated voluntarily.

There are pros and cons to any health decision. It’s a personal matter.

Florida is letting parents make the choices. The govt wants THE GOVT to set THE MANDATE. Of course, it’s in the name of public safety….it always is, right?

Vaccines offer needed protection against serious diseases. But Americans handled the measles and other childhood diseases quite well before there were vaccines to force upon kids. Almost all kids got the measles. (I got it during military basic training but didn’t report it to my CO for fear of being recycled.) Measles is serious mainly for people with compromised immune systems. Sure, there can be unexpected complications, but the medicine to treat them is better than it was. And once you get these diseases, you never need a booster.

Why so hush hush on naming the school? Could it be a lot of illegals are living there?
