As for $$$ I believe that DeSantis spent 2x (as did Jeb in 2016) and her ROI is significantly better.
I would expect that some of the RNC are offering to take Trump to the depot.

Eugene Debs ran for President of the United States on the Socialist Party line in every state in the election of 1920.
He won 3.4% of the vote, decent for a third party candidate.
Why does this matter?
Because—Eugene Debs was in prison at the time—convicted for
Sedition.
He ticked off President Wilson by opposing the military draft and he was arrested in June, 1918. He was tried and convicted of Sedition and off to prison he went.
He appealed all the way to the Supreme Court and lost on appeal.
The Debs case is why lawfare will not work against President Trump.
Little did Debs know how important his case would be more than one hundred years later.
She has been promised all kinds of things to stick in the race for as long as she can.
One thing that really pisses me off about the amount of money wasted on these campaigns is that this money keeps the legacy media afloat. Both parties pour buckets of money into this dying industry of deception. They depend upon a major infusion of cash from politicians and parties every two years, and like clockwork, they do it. Many media outlets would die a well-deserved death without it.
She could get Soros’ support, and it wouldn’t help her, because she’s still her. Cheated on her husband while he was deployed. Dissed her home state. Dissed the presidency that she was a part of. She’s gone. She just doesn’t know it.

Yup—I discuss the Debs case because many Freepers are concerned about the lawfare.
It causes problems but at the end of the day the legal precedent is ironclad.
President Trump is eligible to be on the ballot of all fifty states even if he is convicted of felonies by kangaroo courts and juries—up to and including sedition.
Remember,
Bernie Sanders ran for office foe a year and was able to purchase a fine lakefront cabin.
There is money to be made by running for pres.
This is a good thing.
