*sigh* No, no sun today. Hope you did better.
Son and I had a grand time last night hanging out.
How wuz your weekend?
Bible in a Year :
Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him.
For days, the sickly cat cried, huddled in a box near my workplace. Abandoned on the street, the feline went unnoticed by many who passed it by—until Jun came along. The street sweeper carried the animal home, where he lived with two dogs, which were former strays.
“I care for them because they’re the creatures no one notices,” Jun said. “I see myself in them. No one notices a street sweeper, after all.”
As Jesus walked toward Jericho on His way to Jerusalem, a blind man sat begging by the roadside. He felt unnoticed too. And on this day especially—when a crowd was passing through and all eyes were focused on Christ—no one stopped to help the beggar.
No one except Jesus. In the midst of the clamoring crowd, He heard the forgotten man’s cry. “What do you want me to do for you?” Christ asked, and He received the heartfelt reply, “Lord, I want to see.” Then Jesus said, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you” (Luke 18:41–42).
Do we feel unnoticed at times? Are our cries drowned out by people who seem to matter more than us? Our Savior notices those the world doesn’t care to notice. Call to Him for help! While others may pass us by, He’ll stop for us. .
Reflect & Pray
How would knowing that Jesus sees you change how you view yourself and your life? Who are those around you who might need to be noticed, and how can you “stop” to encourage them with the Savior’s love?
Dear Jesus, thank You for hearing me when I call to You. Like the blind man who received his sight, help me to follow and praise You all my life.
It was pretty dismal up there, no doubt, and snow is trying to move in.
It started out fairly sunny today but clouds moved in late this afternoon. Still warm, though, and that was quite welcome.
That must have been a doozy of a cold. Gotta knock out that last 10%.
But you felt good enough to have a good time last night and that counts for a bunch.
It was a pretty quiet weekend here, as usual. I’m beyond ready for the museum to reopen to perk weekends up again.
Howdy, luvie.
Did you make it through the whole day without turning the AC on?
Hey there, radu!
Yes, we made it with no AC. I guess the bricks keep the house cool until summer sun heats them up like an oven.
How were things there besides pollinated? :) Ahhh-CHOO!
I wasn’t sure if it might heat up enough late in the afternoon to need a little extra something besides the fans to cool things off in the house. Mighty toasty, it was.
It was nice today but now the wind’s picking up. It’s going to be blustery the next two days but at least tomorrow will be warm. Might get a little rain.
The cold front is supposed to come through while I’m asleep Wed. morning and it’ll be down around the upper 30s by the time I wake up. They say we’ll have a little sleet or snow by mid-afternoon. brrrrrrrrrrrrr
Sleet or snow? Ugh! You’d better enjoy the nice weather for the few hours you have left of it. You’ll want to stay inside with the kitties what all that stuff begins!
I believe we’ll have some wind when our temp changes, too, sometime tomorrow. Oh, the joy. We could have some rain on Thursday, but it won’t be cold enough for frozen stuff. Thank goodness!
If the cold air comes in before the rain has moved out, yes, we could get frozen something. I have a couple of errands to run and will get that done tomorrow.
I’m just glad that mess is coming through Wed. since I have to take two cats to the vet Thurs. It’ll be in the 50s then and that’s not too bad.
I’ll be surprised if you don’t get wind when the front goes through your area. That’s a big temperature difference on either side of the front.
We are under a Wind Advisory from 9 AM to 6 PM CT today and a Red Flag Warning from 11 AM to 8 PM CT today. They had some fires in the Texas Panhandle yesterday. We'll see what happens today. Don't do any burning if at all possible today here in Oklahoma.
Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
How's everyone doing this morning?
I’d be surprised, too. The wind never misses a chance to blow around here. It it’s tomorrow, it won’t be too bad. I don’t have to get out, so that’s good. Just listening to it if it gets strong makes me restless.
Hope that the frozen whatever that you get does melt fast. Wouldn’t want to have to take the cats in on slippery roads. Ick!
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
I hope you and Gizmo don’t have any problems from the winds and reeeeeeally hope no one’s stupid enough to try to burn anything. Y’all don’t need any wildfires, as dry as everything is there.
I’m surprised it isn’t fairly windy already since the front is closer to you. It’s already pretty windy here tonight. There was just a nice breeze today.
I’d say with the high being in the low 50s Thursday, I won’t have any problem with slippery roads. If we get any sleet or snow Wednesday, it’ll be long gone by Thursday afternoon.
Maybe it’ll just be there long enough to be pretty and then take itself off till next year. I love when it’s snowing...just not haivng it linger for long.
I doubt there’ll be enough to look pretty. Just depends on how fast the cold air catches up with the last of the rain, if it does at all.
I just hope the dust doesn’t blow in with the wind here. Better to have your clean white stuff than a brown dirty-looking sky. LOL!
Guess I’ll finish this show and shut ‘er down. See ya tomorrow! :)
I hope you don’t have a lot of dust, too, though if the wind’s strong, dust will be a given.
We won’t have dirty brown skies here. We’ve had enough rain lately, fortunately.
Enjoy your sow and sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow for the quiz.
