"Probably because Greg Flynn, who operates 24 of the bakery cafes in California, is a longtime friend of Gov. Gavin Newsom."

I foresee unintended consequences. Perhaps a number of restaurants will now sell their own baked bread.

Democrats use power to reward their supporters, and punish their enemies.
“Conservatives” in all western countries use power to enrich themselves and their donors.

I have been to other sandwich shops that sell loaves of bread.
To: dynachrome
Gee. You think?
So all the fast food places have to do is start selling bread sticks al la carte and they are exempt too.
It is like magic.

For $80 you buy one of these. Make one loaf a day. Sell it. Voila... save $1000's on payroll.

Seriously. It would seem a no-brainer for every fast food joint in the state to purchase a small oven and add a “McBaguette” or similar to their menu.

You know, that’s not funny! ;-)
I used to love the bread from my bread-maker, and now it looks like that loaf!
To: monkeyshine
Those things made crappy bread. Unslicable.
Was only good for seasoned pull apart bread.

Sounds like every other fast-food joint in CA needs to add a side item of bread to their menu.
