The Russians realize the globohomos will not stop. After slaughtering an entire generation of young Ukrainian men, the West will just move on to a new tack with some other group of cannon fodder. The Russian military is at its post Soviet zenith, the West is out of ammo and the masses of trained troops to fight a major land war. I fear the Kremlin looks at this situation and says screw it, better now on these terms that to wait for the West to rearm. Terrifying times.

Agree, when and where to stop has to be a VERY DIFFICULT call for them, as they are FAR MORE ADVERSE to starting World War 3 than Victoria Nuland and the Neocons.
So it’s very tough for them - stop too early and they’ll simply be attacked again and again.

Seems to me the hostile aggressor is the US who set up, trained, and equipped an army to fight Russia, then set up spy stations to target interior Russian targets.
At the start of this Ukraine war, Russia’s Army was 10% of the size it was in the Fulda Gap days.
You seem to be in that odd crowd who simultaneously believes that Russia is a paper tiger, easily beaten.... and also hell bent on world domination. Both cannot be true.
And the snarky comment about nukes is always breezed over. But you should think of something. A 70 year old man is a paper tiger and the younger guy decides he can push him around, bully him and take what he wants. The young guy laughs and says “the only way he can beat me is if he pulls that 38 in his pocket”.
Guess what is much more likely than the young man imagines?
