You should add in Blasey Ford on CBS Sunday Morning. I used to like watching the interesting Americana type features this show would have on, but now it usually trots out at least one repulsive item or story. Here was Jane Pauley in 2020 cooing over Andrew Cuomo and that he was once married into the Kennedy family and at the time recently single and one of the more eligible bachelors in America, then a short while later taken down by allegations of sexual misconduct. Now they wheel in Blasey Ford and likely with all of the sanctimonious talk about Judge Kavanaugh and everything else related to that giant nothing burger. And people wonder why trust in and respect for the news media is below rock bottom.
Good stuff and you are absolutely correct. The msm/driveby media is on the way out and getting worse instead of better as they crash.

Trust in the news media has been a topic of much discussion and scrutiny. Let’s explore how Americans perceive the media:
1. Declining Trust:
Over the past 10 to 20 years, trust in major institutions, including the news media, has decreased. People are less trustful of news sources than they used to be.
2. Current Confidence Levels:
Majority Confidence: While a majority of adults have some degree of confidence in the news media to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly, only 16% are very confident.
3. Skepticism:
45% express little to no confidence at all.
4. Local vs. National Trust:
Approximately 22% of Americans trust the information they receive from local news organizations, whether online or offline.
For national organizations, this figure is 18%. Interestingly, 14% trust the information they get from their friends and family.
5. International Comparison:
In a global context, the U.S. ranks last among 46 countries in terms of trust in the news.
Only 29% of people surveyed in the U.S. express trust in the news, compared to 45% in Canada and 54% in Brazil.
6. Social Media Influence:
U.S. adults under 30 now trust information from social media almost as much as from national news outlets.
50% of 18- to 29-year-olds have at least some trust in information from social media sites.
All these points are clear. People do NOT trust them. The News Media did this to themselves.
