The same thing happened to Pete Wilson in California after he promised in the gubernatorial debate to complete his term and then announced his run for President one month after winning reelection in the governor's race. Wilson dropped out of the Presidential race one month after announcing, and he was the last Republican governor of California.
DeSantis is suffering from the same effect: ignoring his promise to the people of Florida to serve them for four years.
Not the worst governor ever, just someone who disappointed his base by breaking his obligation to serve if elected.

An RNC spokesperson said Presler will be a “valuable voice to the RNC” but will not become a direct employee as he “remains focused on his nonprofit.” Presler runs an organization called Early Vote Action that was founded to “organize & mobilize Republicans to vote early.”

Based upon on what I know of his work, we definitely could benefit from his talents.
Sounds like Stephen Miller (with his legal group) has been doing the Lord’s work, in Maricopa County, to right the wrongs of their election laws/processes.

Sounds like Presler is still going to be working for the RNC but in perhaps a limited capacity.
Scott is awesome at what he does.
Other than speculation, I don’t see whether the offer was pulled or if Scott maybe wanted to continue working on his own with the organization he’s built up. I do hope the two do work together.
After what little I have read the RNC needs to stay very clear of him.

That’s a stretch. I can think of a lot of Governors worse than him.
