Bidenland is ruled by Obama

Just a few short years ago, it was an article of faith here that Obama was completely incompetent, just an empty suit doing his shadowy masters' bidding.

“It was a chickenshit arrest and everybody knows it. Why are you trying to make excuses for it?”

I’m not making excuses for anything. As for it being a CS arrest, I gave you the law that covers the action. I didn’t make it up, I didn’t vote for it as I don’t live in Texas, and I don’t pay the Texas LE to enforce it in taxes I don’t pay. But trying to indicate that it is not a crime and that the arrest has no law behind it and is nothing more than a CS arrest, as you are calling it, is not factual. There is a law, and a court action that can follow the law.

But if you read the article, you’ll find she is more interested in her public personna than the law itself. The law was a tool to arrest her for violating the law, and the court is the tool to prove she was or was not intentionally trying to break it which is an important part of the law.

If the SCOTUS decides she was not guilty of violating the law, then she can irrigate other actions against the state. Police officers are charged with enforcing laws and taking into custody anybody believed to have committed an offense. When doing so, they must adhere to the proper protocols and practices and must not act outside of their lawful authority. They were within their authority to arrest her by law. The court takes over now.

Yeah, you "gave me the law".

BFD.

To call her actions a violation of that law is idiotic, and the arrest and prosecution was clearly a matter of political vengeance, not justice. The law was a tool to arrest her as punishment for daring to challenge a corrupt politician. Mr. Trump is facing the same sort of abusive prosecution on a much larger scale.

Police officers are charged with enforcing laws and taking into custody anybody believed to have committed an offense.

Hillary Clinton is not in prison. The January 6 protesters ARE in prison.

oh, yeah ... Your whole post, to which I respond here, is making excuses for a chickenshit arrest and prosecution.

Kelo v London was based on the 1954 Berman v Parker case, which was brought due to Congress having decided to “take for public use” blighted areas of DC and let private developers “improve” them.

This could have been fixed with Kelo, but the USSC went along with the land grab rules.

“your whole post, to which I respond here, is making excuses for a chickenshit arrest and prosecution.”

I gave you the law. It was voted in by the people of Texas, the LE conformed to the law as based upon an arrest warrant issued for her arrest, and it is now at the SC. Whether I agree with it or not is not important. But my support of laws, even idiotic ones, is still the responsibility of all citizens and my opinion is the law was followed. If the law was wrong, then a whole bunch of people need to get it changed if the state will do it. If they don’t, then a whole bunch of people need to elect someone different at the next election that will change it. Then another group of people will, possibly, complain about that..and the process continues. That’s how our government works. Everyone has an opinion and there are times it can be put into effect through the legal process.

“...clearly a matter of political vengeance, not justice.”

And that’s something no one can say. They can’t say it was political vengenace any more than they can say she didn’t put the paper into her folder on purpose and the actions are in the law. So unless someone can read minds or someone fesses up to it, it’s word against word. And both sides are playing politics.

Never the less, it got into her folder and that could also be considered politically motivated. So are they both right or both wrong? We’ll never know because it will be handled in court and will be nothing but an uneducated guess. But it is being handled legally win, lose, or draw.

And that’s something no one can say.

I already said it. I'll say it again: This arrest and prosecution is clearly a matter of political vengeance, just as the multiple prosecutions of Mr. Donald Trump are matters of political vengeance.

Maybe Obama is just the conduit for the people who really run things. Biden’s staff might question orders coming directly from Obama’s masters, while Biden (esp. given his failing memory) probably wouldn’t have any idea who they are.
