“Dealing with no-knock warrants is fine, but using Breonna Taylor as a catalyst is a bad idea.”

I agree with Responsibility2nd and fear no-knock warrants. By bringing Breonna Taylor into the mix, it confuses the argument. People are left to argue the merits of Taylor and overlook the dangers of no-knocks.

I’m sitting in my house watching Guy’s Grocery Games and someone, wearing black military gear and pointing a rifle busts down the door and starts screaming something. I am inclined to drop down, draw on them and start shooting. It doesn’t matter if they got the wrong house. A gun fight will ensue.

Similarly, three thugs bang on my door shouting “Police! Open the door!” Then they bust it down. Same scenario.

One might say that getting the wrong house is a very rare accident. I say lying in front of a FISA court doesn’t get punished, why not lie everywhere else. After all, Your Honor, he visits that ultra-maga Free Republic website and therefore must be a domestic terrorist.
