Education and achievement are more tied to two parent households than money…
Gonna use the money to ”fix” certain segments of the population???
My ancestor was on one of the 11 ships off the Winthrop fleet to Boston in 1630 but he never had black slaves nor did his descendants....
However Boston made a slave of his 7 daughter until she was 21...she was even sold at least once...
Thanks Boston, wheres my $15 Billion ???
$$ would be better spent replacing the Francis Scott Key bridge now…..
It’s all about bankrupting cities and make them slaves to the federal tyranny the Biden occupation and demoMarxists are trying to bring forth. NYC is now giving illegal aliens $18,000 a year which will do wonders for the black vote, but the occupation doesn’t care, they know the election will be fixed because the RINOpublican party refuses to do anything about election integrity.

No
People who dedicate themselves, make it work.
Reparations are nothing but another wedge between us, and I
am glad to see Blacks out there saying the exact same thing.
I feel a real kindred with some Blacks out there these days.
Good for them. Good for the nation.
I see you capitalize Blacks. Do you capitalize White people also?
The African “we din do nuffin’” con job. Embrace the suck, whitey.
Nothing says “I’m sorry” for something you didn’t do than a nice big fat check
I sure thought Joe Pedo was going to announce today that he was turning the Key Bridge crash site into a National Park.
As we know, when you pay the Danegeld, you never get rid of the Dane.
“Reparations,” once started, will never end.
Yes
Yawn
these little silly groups of people coming up with required reparations demanding Whitey must pay can go jump off a bridge. There is no way that will ever be paid. This is all baloney and Gavin Newsbum started it. Notice how his little group went bye bye.
Michael Savage used to do a bit where he would play 1800s style violin and cello music and a recording of Maya Angelou reciting Still I Rise. He would add his own moaning and groaning and “Ohhhhhh I hear the sounds of slavery now, so loud in my memory, those awful slave days coming back to me. Oh, the misery.”
He kept the show after that, somehow.
RE: Nothing says “I’m sorry” for something you didn’t do than a nice big fat check.
Rev. Al Charlatan, I mean, Al Sharpton: “Now you’re talking.
To properly administer the money to do the Lord’s work I will take a percentage as fee for my services.”🛐✝️⛪🤵🏿👔💼💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
My ancestors didn’t do chit.
They came to this country in the late 19th or early 20th century. Never owned a slave.
“$5 billion of which will go toward closing “the education achievement gap between blacks and whites”
We already spent trillions on public education and the black/white gap is getting wider. No amount of money will make a difference. If black leaders really cared about closing the achievement gap, they would be forced to look at the destructive aspects of black culture. No one seems interested in doing that.
The author of their woe is Lyndon Johnson and his “Great Society” act of 1965 that ensured the destruction of the black nuclear family. They should take their extortion to the Democrat Party that’s kept them on a plantation of dependency solely to extract votes - financed by the rest of us.
That’s their “reparations” and I consider the bill paid in full.
reparations have been in effect for years, offering below interest rate mortgage loans to their black parishioner’s for years now, heard this through the grape vine
Money cannot fix the educational gap nor will it stop black folks from committing crimes. The already numerous gimmicks in place to help these issues like do not prosecute lists , relaxed sentencing and DEI and affirmative action only make the issues worse because the people who are trying to help see it as a right, not a form of reparation. The money will be viewed the same way and will never be enough. Maybe the pastor here should promote family unity and living the 10 commandments?
