After that story, everyone is busy talking about the weather todayโฆ sad.
Good Morning, Beachie! :-)
Good morning ML ((HUGS))
Are you dried out yet?
Yes indeed! The sun came out this morning, but it will be eclipsed in the afternoon. Alas, I will be “one the road” during the eclipse, going from one lesson to the other. Eek.
So the eclipse happens this afternoon. I hadn’t been following the timeframe.
Just be careful on the road.
Momma always told me not to look into the eyes of the sun...
It’s currently very cloudy. I watched it in 17 too

Gary Sinise Honors WWII Vets with a Trip of a Lifetime
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wUC8Kej038
When Gary Sinise started his “Soaring Valor” program he not only wanted to honor and show gratitude to the Greatest Generation, but also ensure that their legacy is known by our future generations. Several times each year, the #garysinisefoundation takes WWII veterans alongside high school students together to the @wwiimuseum in New Orleans. In this way, our young citizens can connect directly with their past and realize fully the price of freedom.

“I can NOT love this enough. THANK YOU Gary and your entire foundation. My dad served in WWII, First Division Marine, “sharp shooter” with “shell shock” yet the most humble man. He joined as soon as he could. Even though he lost his brother, while his other brother actually saw him on the ground not knowing it was him. He was in the CCC’s I still have his “yearbook” which was in the DIA. I have his Cookbook from being on a battleship because that was HIS job on the ship. Thank You for bringing in our Young Ones to learn. “

“THANK YOU to our Vietnam vets who answered the call and bravely went into harm’s way and gave us an example to live up to. We in the younger generations can learn a lot from your courage and dignity.”
“My brother-in-law died of cancer. No help at times. Actually nothing. He figured he couldnโt ask for any. Since he was exposed to chemicals etc apparently it was his fault. He tried to forget. Didnโt call attention to himself. Tough guy he was.”
God bless Gary Sinese for honoring these dear Viet Nam Vets!!
And, God bless THEM, for their service.
I thought you would appreciate seeing this as much as I did.

I hope it cleared up a little by the time of the eclipse. It was cloudy here all day BUT a big opening in the clouds rolled over just in time to catch a few minutes of it, including the moment of maximum coverage we got. Five minutes later, the clouds obscured the sun again.
yes I took a lot of pics.
Great! I’ll bet it was a thrill for the grandkids.
