Several months ago, the chain had 64 locations in the U.S. If it can get the total down to 60, it will be exempt the new minimum wage law.

The solution, imo, for minimum wage workers are not perpetual increases in the minimum wage. But to increase the pathways to learning marketable skills.

Well, there’s one good thing the Democrats do. Their stupid policies are teaching everyday Americans about economics and why some things that might sound good to people who know nothing about business (like a minimum wage) just don’t work.

Scott Rodrick, who owns 18 McDonald’s locations in the state, told CNN he has raised prices about 5% to 7% in the last three months to anticipate the higher wages. Instead of cutting any worker hours, he also plans to grow his delivery operations and make decisions about large capital expenses, like postponing updating a dining room or putting off buying new grills or rooftop HVACs. The impact of Kalifornia’s stupid socialist laws will ripple through the entire nation and the world.
Delay of capital upgrades in Kalifornia means less work all over the country for skilled trades.

The government should not have the authority or legal right to set any minimum wage standards.
It is pure socialist wealth redistribution.
It holds the hard workers and top performers down and boosts the slackers and low performers up.

We would have rather stayed at the wage that we did have before.
Some still haven’t grasped the idea how socialism works flat line all wages.
It’s who you vote for that makes things change.

Without reading the comments, a popular response to this would be “you get what you vote for.” The folks fired here just want to live their lives and due to their socio-economic status, they generally have no influence over things coming down from their government, nor can they afford to move. It truly doesn’t matter if they vote Democrat, Republican, or Green Party, the results are predetermined in the elections anyway. Since the soap box has been taken away and the ballot box has been hijacked, there has to be another way.
That’s just how I view it. Nobody wants a worse life for themselves.
