Greetings to all at the Canteen!
To all our military men and women, past and present,
Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Thank those serving.
Honor those who served.
NEVER forget the fallen!
Hi, Kathy! Thanks for all you do! :)
Howdy, Kathy.
Nice to see it didn’t snow again today and there’s even been some sunshine!
Spring needs to remember y’all are up there. LOL
Ready to catch your breath tonight?
Hi Kathy, thanks for remembering and honoring our Troops tonight!
Bible in a Year :
The valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.
I’ve often affectionately joked with my mother-in-law about her ability to talk to her dogs. She responds to their barks with loving understanding. Perhaps now she and dog owners everywhere will also listen for their canine pals to laugh. Scientists have discovered that many animals, including dogs, cows, foxes, seals, and parakeets, all have “vocal play signals”—otherwise known as laughter. Identifying these accompanying sounds helps distinguish an animal’s play behaviors from what might otherwise look like fighting to a human observer.
That animals express laughter and joy gives us a delightful glimmer of what it might look like for other parts of creation to praise God in their own way. As King David looked over his surroundings, it seemed to him “the hills [were] clothed with gladness” and the meadows and valleys were “[shouting] for joy” (Psalm 65:12-13). David recognized that God had cared for and enriched the land, providing both beauty and sustenance.
Even though our physical surroundings don’t “sing” in a literal way, they bear witness to God’s active work in His creation and, in turn, invite us to give praise to Him with our voices. May we—as part of the “whole earth”—be “filled with awe at [His] wonders” and respond to Him with “songs of joy” (v. 8). We can trust that He’ll hear and understand them. .
Reflect & Pray
How do your physical surroundings encourage you to praise God? Where have you seen His handiwork elsewhere?
Thank You, God, for Your continued work in creation.
Not ours...but great pic of Royal Bahraini Air Force F-16!

We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.
Howdy, PRO.
Your week going well so far? Looks like you’ve at least been able to get outside without an umbrella, unlike us down here. I might need to invest in a kayak. LOL
Good evening, radu...hope you are having some dry times.
The sun finally came out here and last night’s snow in melting. I am done with snow!!
Weather has been pleasant and dry, so nice that son and I picked-up lunch and spent the afternoon at our gun range.
Grocery shopping tomorrow and who knows what else.
No eeeeeven into dry times yet. Still have another soggy day ahead, a couple of dry days, then rain chances return. *sigh*
I'm glad yesterday's snow melted. Another large system is moving your direction. :-(
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...any sunshine yet?
Hope you and Tippy got out today for a nice walk.
Y’all are making up for missed opportunities at the gun range, aren’t you? LOL There were several times the past year or two that you’d made plans to go but something came up. Glad you’re getting to have some fun this Spring.
Too wet to think about dong anything outside here. I did head up to the museum today for a scheduled tour group. I just tagged along to listen to the spiel. Needed to get a feel for the new arrangement so I can put my own spiel together and be ready to go when we reopen. Only a week and a half to go!
Is your stove put to bed for the year?
We are still having intermittent snow storms.
🙂 thank you.
Howdy, luvie.
Has the temp gone up and the wind died down today?
We’re under a wind advisory tonight through 5pm tomorrow with rain later tonight into tomorrow. Luverly.
Hey there, radu!
It was a bit warmer and the wind wasn’t as strong as yesterday. It was still breezy but I actually had the doors open during most of the daylight hours.
Sounds like your week is very much like our last week. Hope the wind calms down there soon.
Did you have fun at the museum today?
