The only Steven Smith I remember was related to one of the Kennedys - son Willie Smith was in trouble with a woman years ago..Looked it up and Steven was married to a sister of JFK....Jean..How soon we forget.. So many names/people have taken their place..so many years!!!
My bet is he loses every case in the courtroom (anti-Trump prosecutors, judges, and juries) but wins all of them on appeal.
I think at this point he has a better than even chance at being re-elected but I'm not confident he'll bring the House and Senate along with him.
Best case scenario is full acquittals in appellate courts, and Trump has a GOP Senate behind him so that Justice Thomas can comfortably retire. Sotomayor leaving for health reasons would be the icing on the cake.
