Trump is pushing 80.
DeSantis had absolutely no chance of winning the nomination this year. In fact what he did pretty much assures he never will. He stabbed the MAGA base of the party not just in the back, but in the chest as well.
That won’t be forgotten or forgiven.
Had he played his cards right he could have had any job in a second Trump administration other than VP. Then he’d have had the 2028 nomination handed to him on a solid gold platter.
Instead he listened to terrible advice from the Bush wing of the party and made the most boneheaded move in modern American political history.
It’s sad because it was such a stupid, stupid waste of time and money.

On the surface, this law seems to violate Equal Protection provisions in the constitution. Having children in a school system shoiuld not give some parents preference under the law as all citizens in the district pay taxes to the school district either directly or indirectly. The tax payers are the ones to make the decisions.
I love what he is doing for Florida again, hope he continues this streak. If he hadn't screwed up by running, he'd be big time first on the list for 2028.
