No, we ended the transmission by modulating the carrier at 10 hertz, the base of our math system. Thanks you very much but I am sure you meant the basis of our old math system. The new math will allow you to use what ever base you desire, hoping somehow to justify 2+2 = 5. Fortunately, we are still using the old math system, except of course in our measurements.

Being a 10 never hertz. Generally, I hate puns, but I liked that one.

Thank you. I especially like to be given accolades in the form of cash.

Thank you. I especially like to be given accolades in the form of cash.If I remember correctly, you and I rarely agree. Add this to the list. :-)

OMG! This will surely get one of those profound "This story has legs." "Follow the money." "Remember folks, you heard it here!"

I rarely agree with anyone because I am always correct and most carbon life forms are not; now you on the otherhand, being a cyberg (in case you're Jewish) have an opportunity to shine. [:~)

I just have to ask...
...have any of you jokers actually read the whole article?
Convince me that humans made these designs in the field.

Well, let's see, the crop circles are drawn by guys and gals with planks and rope, the images are claimed as alien messages, so the ones drawing the designs must be the ...! They're heeere!

I've been following the crop circle 'phenomenon' for years. I don't spend useless effort trying to prove a negative. When real science proves the crop circles are of off-world origin, I'll spend more time on them.

Convince me that a child could make this complex design in a minute or less...out of paper, no less!

I would think that if an alien race had the technology to make a picture in a wheat field, then they would have the technolgy to communicate in a clearer method.
To: ex-Texan
I hesitate to point this out to you, since you are so comfy in your smugness, but you appear to have missed the subtle break in bilateral symmetry with the 'face' image ... under close scrutiny it is composed of two completely different symmetries laid side-by-side. Don't tell me I'm not paying attention. I did read the article and have many questions for the author, but every one deals with statements of a self-fullfilling nature in the authors assumptions for the 'article'. This is not science; this is a new religious longing, to be in-touch with other worlders. Ain't happened yet, dude/dudette.

Your example is easily explainable, and reproducible. You, however, can not say the same for these designs in grain without any sign of (what we know as) normal human intervention.
Convince me that humans could make such a complex design in one night, and leave no footprints in or out of the field, not be discovered while in the process, maintain mathematical precision while not being able to see the whole, and create an exact replica of complex data sent into space decades ago.
