Wow, I had no idea some of us were lost that day. I wish I had known of this site back then. I remember that I had slept pretty late (I work nights and even though it was my day off, I still slept late that day) and as soon as I woke up I got online before turning on the tv or radio. Aol had the picture of the plane hitting the WTC, and I thought it must be an ad for a new movie coming out. I looked and looked to see who the star would be, and found no mention of movie title or star, then got a really bad feeling in my stomach...

Like many here, I go from sadness to anger when I re-read and re-see what happened on that bright September morning (a morning very much like this morning here in Washington, DC).

But the images I will never ever forget are the images of the people as they jumped to their deaths from the upper floors of the WTC.

It must have been monstrously awful.
