Channel 2 in New York is reporting as an exclusive that 2 men with a truck full of explosives have been stopped and arrested in NJ Meadowlands. The objective was apparently to destroy the George Washington Bridge. It was not clear whether this happened just now or somewhat earlier today.

I have no problem with hooking up car batteries to terrorists' genitals.

Torture should NOT be used to extract a confession, or on anyone who isn't DEFINITELY a terrorist. But to get information, which could save countless lives--we just lost tens of thousands today--that is worth violating a terrorists' "rights."

Latest from Channel 2 is that three men were arrested by the FBI, the van is impounded, and an investigation is underway. But apparently the van did not contain explosives.
