I totally agree with you GretchenEE. I saw the Mom being interviewed and heard her express her appreciation for President Bushes words of comfort. I know this Mom needs much prayer and so many need prayer. These voices and images are what will touch the American people. Not, the snide, off-key remarks of the Rathers, Jennings, Brokaws and Zahns. God Bless our President. He spoke of his decision to run for President as a "calling" and I do believe that God prepared and does prepare the way for him.

God bless our President. He will have to be strong and have much wisdom to deal with crisis. I have no doubt that we are very blessed to have him as President, as he is steady and determined. Thanks rintense for these powerful pictures. Pray.

How or why that plane was diverted to the Pentagon we may never know,...

I suspect we have Barbara Olsen to thank.

Thanks rintense.

I saw Mrs. Bush on GMA and The Morning Show today. She was asking the parents of America to talk and console their children. She was as compassionate and caring as we expected her to be. She is the best First Lady for this tragic situation in that she has credibility as a teacher on her side. I know she's a comfort to President Bush as well.

I think that the 2000 election was just a test of what America is going through right now, and God chose the best man to lead us through it.

I heard that 80,000 flags have been sold since the attack on Tuesday. I'm sure that is just the beginning. I know I want one, a big one, to hang from my balcony. It's weird, but everytime I hear or think about "The Star Spangled Banner", I start tearing up. I also heard the singer from yesterday's prayer service at the Capitol, and his rendition of "Amazing Grace" was absolutely powerful and moving. It made me sob as well.

I just happened to be in D. C. on Saturday and I took some really great pictures of the Capitol building, and everytime I look at them, I keep thinking of what we could have lost. We must keep in prayer all those who've lost loved ones in New York and at the Pentagon. We will get through this, with God on our side.

God bless President Bush and God bless America.

Thanks so much rintense. The pic of the huge flag unfurled by the rescue workers at the Pentagon brought tears to my eyes. Then I saw the President's face as he walked away from Marine One, I presume after it landed at the Pentagon. Talk about filled with a terrible resolve!! He looks like a man who has been moved to great anger and is willing to exact retribution for the carnage he has seen, and I for one am glad he's the man in that high office right now!!

Clinton would have been biting his lip for the camera.

Don't we know it! I have been thinking that the up side to having the airports closed is that BJ can't come back into the country. Otherwise, the clymer would have been standing on top of the ruins in NYC giving hourly interviews.

Words can't express what we are feeling right now. This is the best thread yet, although it had to come at a time of tragedy.

Thanks, rintense. I saw a clip of President Bush speaking, fighting back the tears, and obviously very upset. G-d bless President Bush.

And then think of the revenge, retaliation, and pay back that will happen in the days to come.

And the American people need to have a strong resolve to carry that sacrifices that will be asked of them.

rintense, a belated thank you. I tried to reply to this dose before, but wasn't able to send.

Thank God for our President - he needs our support and prayers now more than ever.
