[history]
BOSTON (AP) -- Terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden has strong family ties and a group of supporters in Boston, where the two hijacked airliners that demolished the World Trade Center took off.
One of bin Laden's brothers set up scholarship funds at Harvard, while another relative owns six condominiums in an expensive complex in the Charlestown section of Boston. Two bin Laden associates once worked as Boston cab drivers, including one who was jailed in Jordan on charges of plotting to blow up a hotel full of Americans and Israelis.

This is an amazing story!
I bet the FBI is pressuring AP and various papers that had it posted on their sites and ready to print tonight/morning to pull it..???
The FBI has known all this before so why didn't they look into this and act more before?
Especially since bin Laden was threatening something really big just a couple weeks ago!

U think the Justice Dept under Janet "bar b que" Reno would have even considered for a millisecond investigating a blue zone stronghold???
To: t-shirt
These people were still functioning under the previous administration's rules. They forgot we got a new President in January. And ... a new FBI director - who appears to be doing a really bang-up job.

FBI turns to Internet for clues in Tuesday's attacks
WASHINGTON (AP) - The FBI is serving search warrants to major Internet service providers in order to get information about an e-mail address believed to be connected to Tuesday's terrorist attacks.
Investigators visited the nation's top Internet access companies Wednesday morning, company officials said.
"They wanted to know what we have on our network, and our logs about this (e-mail) address, if that address has flowed through our network at any time," according to an executive at Atlanta-based Earthlink, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The executive said the e-mail address did not belong to Earthlink, and that the company was told to expect more warrants as the investigation continues.
"They said they're going to all the ISPs," the executive said.
America Online spokesman Andrew Weinstein said the company is "cooperating fully and immediately with law enforcement agencies in their investigations."
Shannon Stubo of Yahoo!, which runs a Web-based e-mail service, also said the company was cooperating fully.
A spokesman for Microsoft's Internet divisions would only say that the company regularly works with law enforcement.
The FBI would only say that it is investigating the attacks vigorously throughout the United States.
Agents did not install the Carnivore e-mail surveillance device on Earthlink's computers, but relied instead on Earthlink's own reports. In the past, the company has gone to court to resist installing Carnivore.
Alison Bowman, a spokeswoman at cable Internet company ExciteatHome, said she was not aware of any warrants issued there but that the company would cooperate with authorities.
"We've always cooperated with the authorities when they've asked us for information," Bowman said.

Sicko Reno would let 'em be so she could watch a "good mass killing" then pass some new anti-terror laws.

Previously the FBI was too busy with making nice with the local mobsters to actually do their job.
Now that we have a REAL President instead of a fake blow-up sex toy with hair you can color to preference, that may well change.

I can't stand seeing the lefty media types now pilloring the FBI and CIA for their "failure".
Until 9-11, if the FBI so much as looked at these Boston Bin Laden guys twice in one month, the everloving ACLU and the Arab American Anti Defamation crowd would be scream "race profiling" and "religious bigotry", and Katie Couric and Dan Rather and Peter Jennings would crucify them for their police state tactics.
Now they turn around after 9-11 and say "what lazy incompetent boobs at the FBI!"
Same deal with the CIA and the lack of informants and spies in the terrorist camps. Before 9-11, if the CIA dealt with some bloody handed terrorist informant, Rather and Jennings would crucify them, "60-Minutes" would faint dead away at the eeee-villl CIA for dealing with terrorists. Now the same guys turn around and say "where was the CIA!!!"
I spit in all their lamestream media faces.
To: t-shirt
I think we ought to round up each and every Arab we can link in anyway to the Bin Laden group and ship their sorry a$$es out of the country! It is certainly time for STRICT EMIGRATION POLICIES ! Each applicant should undergo a through vetting-as though we're looking for terrorists and criminals because so often WE ARE!

Oh yeah the FBI has been doing a great job in Boston
Judge Mark Wolf says "White Bulger, Steven "the rifleman" Flemmi" and I forget the third guy, BUT YOU know what I am talking about.
The FBI has had it's share of problems.

And if it is 14 hours old even why is it marked 9:13 PM tonight?
And even if it were 14 hours old how does that change the importance of it?

Another perspective. First, how many Arab-non citizens are there in the US, at least a few thousand on any given day, right?
A serial killer is on the loose and we know it's a white guy with brown hair, but with nothing else - do they wait for a sketch, or arrest every white guy with brown hair in the UNITED STATES?

In 1994, one of his brothers, Sheik Bakr Mohammed bin Laden, made a large donation to Harvard Law School to fund visiting scholars to do research in Islamic legal studies. Do you think there was a class on how to run the Jihad?

Terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden has strong family ties and a group of supporters in Boston There were two Arabs arrested tonight in Fort Smith, Arkansas who have ties to Osama bin Laden. They were on I-40 heading WEST when they were spotted with a Florida license plate. IMO they were heading for the Canadian border.

Seems to me we had an incompetent suckbutt for a president before. Clinton probably couldn't tie his own shoes without an aide to tell him when to cross the laces.

Exactly RLK, too busy helping the BATF and IRS and other Gestapo agencies terrorize people, and too busy hiding evidence in murder trials to bother going after "terrorists".

In other words the FBI just installed Carnivore to everyone elses e-mail except the defiant earth link.
(And for Eartlink the FBI probably got NSA to do it for them with Echelone)

Glad you like it. It took me four months to put the 78 pages together. The ending will be a surprize and crushing to leftists. I think it will be broken up into five installments. I'm not certain. I don't have control of that part of it.

"A serial killer is not part of a racial Jihad. "
Not apples and oranges. Racial profiling is just that. If FBI stats say blacks commit more violent crimes than what follows is racial profiling. if FBI stats say that most serial killers are white, than racial profiling should ensue. NOT apples and oranges.

At this time it is anti-american, I know you love a spirited debate when ever you can get one stirred up, but monday morning quarterbacking at this point is not only premature but also rediculous. We have thousands of people killed by terrorist and you are pointing fingers at the Government just 2 days later. I just can't figure how that is not anti-american

If the government is to blame then they are to blame for allowing this to happen.
I don't worship the government.
And I'm not going to sit down and shut up just because the government allowed and terrorist murdered 20,000 people or more.
How in the hell does ignoring the government allowing and not critisizing them prevent more terrorism from happening?
It doesn't it only makes them more likely!
