According to CJAD in Montreal, there were students at Concordia celebrating Tuesday's devastation.

Oh, don't do that... it'll be so much more fun to watch them get forced to chew on each others' severed tongues.

"Our best protection," writes Ms. Riley, "may be distancing ourselves a little more explicitly from U.S. foreign policy. That doesn't mean insulting our largest trading partner, or countenancing terrorism, but pursuing a reasonable and moderate course in the world's trouble spots."

Algore couldn't have said it better.

But what are we to make of Robert Mosurinjohn of Ottawa and his bizarre suggestion on yesterday's letters page that "the massive tax cuts in the United States have lessened security inside its borders"?

A relative of Daschle no doubt.....

Arab students celebrating catastrophes in the west, America, and Canada, is not unusual at my Alma Mater.. Those students are probably part of a radical group that stages frequent demonstrations at Concordia in support of the Palestinians and Islamic causes. They've been in the news lately, and have been the subjects of several news reports, in the last few weeks.

When I attended Concordia, in the late '70's, I had nothing but contempt for the radicals that have taken over most of the student organizations. I'd get into daily arguments with students, Prof's,, everyone. I was glad to graduate and get the hell outta there.

As for our bedwetting government.... well, I didn't vote for them. I have a sneaking suspicion no one else will, come the next election.

The true reactions of Canadians are different that what Steyn correctly, though narrowly describes. Canadians are flying US flags in support of America. The 98% of Canadians who appreciate the US are not reflected in Steyn's observations. He's right. Canadian liberals are an obsequious and disgusting lot. But they don't reflect Canadians true feelings.

See these two threads for how Canadians really feel.

Canadians mourn the dead today
and
'Not only neighbours, but family': PM tells U.S.

Trust me, Canadians know only too well the damage of eight years of Chretienism have wraught on Canada. We regret it. But Canadian conservatives are working hard to kick out this benign dictator. I only hope it's not too late.

Before you get too PO'd at Canada for that one, remember there were also reports of {censored} celebrating in Seatle. Not excusing the Montreal {censored}, just saying that when you have rats you shouldn't complain about your neighbor's pest control problems.

Anyway, why do think most Canadians call Chretien "Da Moron"? Because he is one. Or a liberal. Same thing.

Chretien is an idiot- Elinor Caplan a bigger idiot. As a Canadian who has lived in the USA and an Ontarian I am sickened by the fact that this government is in power due to Ontario voters.

You merely insulted one of the finest institutions of higher learning in the world. [guffaw, snicker,]

Ok, ok. </sarcasm> . So let me say something...

I'm fully aware that most of our friends in the Great White North are ready to stand with us, as our closest and truest ally would. But, sad to say, your government in Ottawa is starting look every bit as suspect and corrupt as what we just got rid of.

...or just lob a few finely-targeted cruise missiles at Brossard...

PS: Now that would be war with China!

Is this group comprised of the students cheering the terror attacks last week?
