ONLY POST LINKS!!!!!
TOPICS: Miscellaneous; News/Current Events
As I read certain posts tonight, I realize I have missed some great pix over the last couple of days. Please post LINKS to your favorites here. And please, for the love of FreeRepublic (and the preservation of precious bandwidth), only post a link-- preferably to a non-FreeRepublic source.

It's a common misconception that embedding images into posts somehow costs FR bandwidth. Not true.
Here is one seriously ticked Noble Eagle
from the Augusta Chronicle.
There is another very nice one showing an eagle sharpening his talons but
I cant find the link.
yep. it pulls bandwith from other sites. Thats why you see some sites you software/scripts that show up as just a gif image...like geocities, tripod and anglefire.
Which is why we see so many posts with "LOOK AT THIS!!!!!!" and all you see is a red x
Sorry, should proof read first, that should have been typed Manhattan.
Bumping for the late night crowd!
Interesting, but it would be more amusing as a pig.

I concur. Additionally, embedded graphics may lessen the load on FR bandwidth because it takes longer for the adorned thread to download thus slowing the rate of thread hopping. The impact is on the server which hosts the graphics file.
Great one for PETA.
