CNSNews.com) - Minister Louis Farrakhan has warned President Bush that declaring war on terrorism could "trigger the war that would end all wars, the war of Armageddon."
Farrakhan is the leader of the black Muslim separatist movement Nation of Islam and the architect of the 1995 Million Man March in Washington, D.C.
In a speech Sunday at a Chicago mosque, Farrakhan implied that U.S. foreign policy is to blame for last weeks terrorist attacks on Washington and New York. He called on American officials to summon "the courage to look at the foreign policy" and asked if the policies have "produced this danger and hatred toward America."
He described the events of last week as a "dark hour in American and world history." He defended the Palestinians celebrating in the streets after the terrorist attacks because they have "sustained injustice since 1948," which refers to the year Israel became a state.
"They dance in the streets not because they have no feeling for American life, they dance because they wanted America to feel what they feel."
According to Farrakhan, the terrorists that struck America are the product of "despair and hopelessness."
"This is what causes children to strap themselves with bombs. They care nothing for their lives. They want others to feel the pain of what they live with everyday."
He then accused the American government and media of unfairness towards Muslims. He noted that convicted Oklahoma City Bomber Timothy McVeigh professed to be a Christian, yet the U.S. did not fear all Christians.
"Even though his crime was the most horrific committed up until that time, no one said Christian Timothy McViegh, they just said Timothy McVeigh," he noted. He called McVeigh's actions "un-Christian like" and he declared the attacks last week on the US to be "un-Muslim like."
He said Muslims throughout the world have no quarrel with the citizens of America, only it's foreign policy. He believes these are policies "that the American people know nothing about."
"A better foreign policy of America would defeat terrorism forever in the world," he declared.

I am sure the rest of you will know better than I how to characterize these remarks.

So has anyone looked into the "Nation of Islam" for possible terrorist ties? They're a nationwide, I suspect wealthy organization that could be used for a front. And they sure as hell aren't pro American.

Thank you. Beat me to it.

Shoot the murderers abroad,
Hang the traitors at home.
Got rope?
To: Temple Drake
The anti-semite rears his ugly head again. Apparently he thinks this war is about Palestine and Israel - rather than specific acts of terrorism. This man is dangerous and sick.
To: Temple Drake
He defended the Palestinians celebrating in the streets after the terrorist attacks... Is Louie threatening us?

"I don't have no quarrel with no Viet Cong"--Muhammad Ali 1968
Farrakhan's remarks are clearly treasonous, seditious and, IMO, hate speech to boot. There are laws governing so-called "freedom of speech"...

Minister Louis Farrakhan has warned President Bush that declaring war on terrorism could "trigger the war that would end all wars, the war of Armageddon." Isn't that the same thing Saddam Hussein said back in 1991? Something about "The Mother of all battles?"
To: Diogenesis
they'd probably treat him more respectfully than they ever have President Bush.

I think it's good that evil demagogues like Calypso Louie spew their hate for America at a time like this. It just marginalizes their cause even further, renders them even more ineffective than they already are. ROTFL!!!
To: Temple Drake
the terrorists that struck America are the product of "despair and hopelessness." Is he talking about the terrorist that was boozing it up and partying down at the nudie bar or OBL who has hundreds of millions of dollars? Calypso Louie is an anti-American Muslim who merits an investigation.

the terrorists that struck America are the product of "despair and hopelessness." They were trained pilots. They could get could jobs. At least the Mexicans would just send the money home. These terrorists were middle-class. I didn't see any "despair and hopelessness" in the way they were living.
Farrakhan should be deported.
To: Temple Drake
This is a traitor who needs to be hung and quartered. His masque needs to be burned .
To: Temple Drake
Well we've heard from Calypso Louie.
Now how about Al Sharpon (he's from NYC, no?)
And wattabout Charlie Rangel (he's a Congressman from NYC, no?)
What's this minister from Chicago trying to outdo the guys from NYC? WAit a minute, Jesse Jackson IS from Chicago. Whats Jesse have to say? The silence is deafening.

IMHO the Nation of Islam needs looking after in a big way.

The United States should open the doors wide, outwardly, so that all those Americans that are so unhappy with our way of life, may pass freely with all their worldly possessions, into any land of their choice.

Once again, another Muslim representative who spends entirely too much time trying (as if it was possible) to explain why these heinous acts were committed against the U.S., rather than condemning the acts in the strongest possible terms and distancing themselves from these radical, barbaric fanatics...

To: nofriendofbills
You got that right, he's probably shaking in his boots because he's on the list as well as the other Muslim Terrorists abroad. Farrakhan pick a side scumbag, I personally hope you pick the other side I'd love to see your bigoted @ss sent to your brothers in the Middle East!
To: Diogenesis
Sarcastic? Yes. Far Fetched? No. Send both to Canada or the Middle East!
To: Temple Drake
How many black Americans have to die before Louie finds something worth condemning in Muslim terrorists?
Starting from the Beirut truck bomb in 1982 to the Berlin disco bombing in 1986, to Pan Am 103 in 1988, to the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, to the Khobar Towers truck bomb in 1996, to the embassy bombings in 1998, to Egyptair 110 in 1999, to last Tuesday--the number of African Americans killed by Muslim extremists is easily in the hundreds.
For an alleged "leader" of black Americans not to condemn their murder tells you all you need to know about this piece of garbage's agenda.
To: anniegetyourgun
Apparently he thinks this war is about Palestine and Israel - rather than specific acts of terrorism.Uh, whether we like it or not, the fact remains that this war IS about Palestine and Israel, at least in part, and our support of Israel.

He does have a point. We are now reaping the results of Mr. Clinton's follies in the arena of foreign relations.

What Farrakhan and all liberals have to say right now is irrelevant. Their anti-American bile is well known; we don't need to hear a bunch of backpedaling. What we need to do, however, is investigate his organization to see if they've been supplying aid and comfort to the enemy.

"Apparently he thinks this war is about Palestine and Israel - rather than specific acts of terrorism"
Though it may not be able to be directly linked, I believe it has alot to do with the bombing and the U.S. being alley to Israel. These people are of the same mindset. They are animals.
