MOST Americans seem to understand the gravity of the situation that terrorism has put us in - and the need for some serious military response, even if that means dangers to the lives of us all. But some still insist on posturing while on the edge of a volcano.

Some are frightened of war, and fear for their life and property.
Some are paid agent provacateurs of the enemy, paid to stir up public discord.
All of them need to be roundly condemned and detested, and actively opposed by all necessary means.
Giving aid and comfort to the enemy at time of war will not be tolerated.

Weren't we 'at peace' on September 11, 2001? Was that not giving 'peace a chance'? Are these people cowards (prolly) or just stupid (certainly)?
They maintain we must understand their (radical muslim terrorist) ideas and accept them. Well, my friends, if someone has ideas that indiscriminate murder is OK, must I understand that idea and accept murder. Will they accept it should I decide that raping his pretty daughter is "acceptable" to me? I think not. They should be shouted down and, should that prove ineffective, taken down!

The history of the Arab/Jew conflict is of course politically incorrect, it would disclose atrocities from many nations that have tried, time immemorial, to extinguish the rights of others. Had the last three generations been properly educated, they might be able to straighten some of this hostility out...not sit around feeling sorry and guilty according to some pacifist belief or worse yet, sit-com only knowledge.
The dumbing down of America is due to social engineering and socialist/Marxist...keep them from learning and we will rule the earth!

Says a lot, at least. Of course, fans of the show and its positive vision of the future have been derided for the past 35 years. Given the national mood today, I would expect that to increase.
Harlan Ellison (a brilliant writer who seems perpetually pissed off - possibly it's the crux of his creativity) said that after Desilu Productions and NBC were finished with his teleplay, it resembled a "thalidomide baby."
But the gist of it came through. Kirk, having been transported to early 1930's Earth, falls in love with a woman (played by Joan Collins, when she could still inspire palpitations.) But he and Spock are there to find a drug-crazed McCoy, who, it is found, had profoundly changed world history by saving the life of Kirk's new-found love.
Had she not been run over in the street, she would have founded a pacifist movement, delaying U.S. entry into WWII until Hitler had the Bomb and a delivery system. HE WASN'T STOPPED SOON ENOUGH and the world paid a terrible price that rippled into the 23rd Century. Spaceflight never developed.
Today, the parallel is obvious. There is no "soon enough." There is only "now," and the hope that it's not too late.

It may be that these idiots lack the tactile response of survival, I don't know. We can thank the loving God above that they are the minority.
