There are many different sects within Islam [it is hardly monolithic]. The sect which resembles your term "Islamism" is the Wahhabi movement. It was started by Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab in the smaller city states of Arabia in the 1700s. His extremely traditional group opposed all innovations within Islam, often using violence to enforce its views.

Today Wahabaism is quite strong in Saudi Arabia [where interestingly enough most of the money funding the terrorists is coming from]. It demands punishment for those who enjoy any form of music except the drum and severe punishment up to death for drinking or sexual transgressions. It condemns as unbelievers those who do not pray, a view that never previously existed in mainstream Islam.

Osama Bin Ladin is a member of this sect.

I am not 100% sure on this point, but I think this Wahhabi movement is the same radical group that waits until it has a big enough foothold in a "host" country [preaching a mild puritanical strain of Islam], then starts a civil war--screaming the "death to infidels" mantra. They're good at cloaking their true nature.

He said "Radical Islam, Mexico, and China." We need to take Islam to one of two places: Where they CANNOT war against us, or: Where they CHOOSE NOT TO war against us. Satan is described in the Bible as the little god of this world since Adamkind's fall from that office. I purposely left out using his name because other great religions of the world call him by different nems, even in different designations. Do you think it's necessary to give that little god print time when designating the acts and eschatology of his followers as they exist in antithesis of the God of Creation found in all religions? I didn't think so and wrote accordingly as a way to show the unity of opposition the great religions can have to the Islamicists' evil.
