PICS From Ground Zero....

This is from someone who worked in WTC building 4. (Luckily he's ok.) A coworker of his went to ground zero and was let into their former office building (only partially collapsed). Here are some photos they took of the area and offices:

These amateur photos are better than any that are in the media. Considering the amount of damage to the fellow's building, it's surprising they let him inside it.

I think the spookiest pics are those of the offices that are fully intact.

Unbelievable!

A friend of mine from D.C. sent me a panoramic photo of Manhatten with the towers in it. I just got it today in the snail mail. The picture was taken just days before the tragedy. Gave me goose bumps.

Want to get "trashed"?

Come to O'Hara's, the swanky Irish pub in Lower Manhattan located near the World Trade Towers.

Just the place to make you forget about work for awhile...

To think for a second that they have been looking for people under all of that is just borderline crazy. These are amazing shots. Pictures that need to be pushed in every anti-war protestor's face.Go get 'em W.

A true war zone!

Thanks for the link. Makes the trials of those rescue workers' feats even more awesome than could be imagined by viewing the tv pics.

God bless 'em all.

Whoa! I've only seen the first photo so far, but it really grabbed me because my office burned some years back and the photos were very similar, except that there was a lot of debris (melted desks, melted chairs, hanging cables, etc.) in what was left of my office. Major flashback. Fortunately, no one was hurt where I worked -- the fire had been smoldering in the wiring for about three days and one morning before anyone arrived, when the air conditioning came on, the fireball erupted. One whole wing was wiped out before it was brought under control.

Worth the wait. Unbelievable. What the media show is so sterile. We need to see these. I'm afraid that the average Joe is losing anger over this horrible attack. These images need to be ingrained in our memory.

Here are two photos from the site you linked. I cut them down so they won't take a long time to load on this thread. They really give one a much more realistic sense of the devastation.
