You are so right about his trying to "grab" publicity for himself!! Nothing new about that!
Ooops! Totally sorry 'bout that. I would be a poor source for advice concerning this choice, however. I've never been exposed to the Ashley sights. My experience with Novak sights has been WONDERFUL. I would only have one-sided things to say and I don't want to be unfair to Ashley, they might have a decent product.
The best recommendation I could give would be to go to the the firing line and register to post. Once registered (it only takes a minute) post a question on the semiauto forum and listen to those who've "been there". I learn a lot over there and love the place.
