SAY WHAT?!!
Drink another 6-pack of Pepsi and let us know when you are finally finished.
Hallelujah!!!! Life...is....good
While we're talking about style sheets and such, I might want to put a plug in for WAP phone access. Yes, I just can't get enough!
I use the Google Wireless Search system and it works well to view FreeRepublic articles and replies with a WAP phone. I have the articles page bookmarked. That's sufficient for me but just something you might want to think about down the road. Maybe way down the road.
Thanks again for everything.
The only thing I am really looking for is how to make a link without posting the actual address...A template of sorts is fine.
HREF something or another, I can't remember the exact formula.
That spot right there will be really handy.
For some web pages that are uplooaded here (for comment) there are other links that are not "hard-coded" into the page and therefore, they show up as part of the "freerepublic.com" web site (which is wrong).
So, the following is used to corred it.
-- BASE HREF="http://www.some-web-site.com" --
However, that does not seem to work anymore. Is this never going to work? If so, then it means that people have to go into these documents and "hard-code" the web address, which is a lot of work (which probably won't get done). And then, that means that people (FReepers) will get a lot of "non-existant pages" on FreeRepublic (as a result).
Please put that functionality back in, if you could.
I like this style sheet thing, I got red, white and blue scroll bars now :-)
On 2 threads the itallics won't go away, I tried adding about 75 < /i >'s to the post to no avail. When I view source I don't even see an < i > tag to start 'em off!

Thanks
I clicked on 'Topics', went to Political Humor/Cartoons, to see if a particular article had been posted yet. There were many topics listed there, but none for Political Humor/Cartoons. Checked a few other Topics, and topics were mixed up there, too.
Is this a new problem, or is it just me?
For the record, I am using Netscape 4.76 on a winblows98 box.
Check out "Civilization Envy" for an example.
I'm using Netscape 4.71 (and NO, I'm not going to change)
I recall there is a cool little utility that will notify me when someone has posted to me, but I can't remember how to do it. If you could point me to the instructions, I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks and Happy New Year.
