THEY WENT TO THE TALIBAN AND INTERVIEWED THEM, DON'T REMEMBER WHERE, BUT THEY CLEARLY SAID:

The Taliban have only one hope of survival and that is turning this anti Terrorist operation into a Holy War, something we are not going to do.
That is like holding a Royal flush to the Talibans pair of twos ignoring the pot and agreeing to play a new game.

Muslims in the Philippenes are holding hostages and committing mnurder there, too. Islam is not a religion of peace. In fact, Islam does not mean peace, it means SUBMISSION.
It makes me shudder what some people who don't read their Bible can think when a certain religious leader tells them that all roads lead to God, that Islamic people will go to heaven as well as Christians! You will end up believing anything!!

Many use religion as an excuse but some use race, as they are taking over are jobs, or they are kidnapping and enslaving are children or they put spells on me.
I have done anti terrorist and peace keeping operations in North Ireland, the Balkans, and parts of Africa, and I have seen real hatred and the worst of human behaviour, I have also seen very decent people trying to stay decent.
In all cases it is extremist whipping up hatred based on ignorance and fear. We must not fall into the same trap, we do not have the same excuse we are better educated and informed( do I really believe that)
If we are to fight this war we must go for the trouble makers remove them, the terrorist leaders, the financial supporters, the enforcers, the propagandists.
For the crowds all they really need is a decent economy so that they can work and feed there family. Once we have wiped out the terrorist we should take a long hard look at helping these nations in sorting them self’s out once and for all

Go to an online version of the Koran, read it, their religion hates the Jews and openly calls for their deaths and Christians deaths, and that is just quoting it, not taking an analogy or parable out of context, it is following it the way it says. Until you read the Koran yourself, please refrain from responding. All you have to read is the first 3 chapters to see this!
They are ignorant alright, but they are much more than just that, they are evil. They are as evil as Cain, jealous of their place with God, unable to accept as we do that Jews are the chosen people, and it would not suprise me if they were his decendents. They are as jealous and full of hate as Ismael and his egyptian mother who they do claim.
Here is what God says of them Genesis 16:12 "and he will be a wild donkey of a man, His hand will be against everyone, and everyones hand will be against him, and he will live to the east of all his brothers". To live to the east is to be an extremist. I think this discription covers them pretty well.
The only thing that is going to sit them back on their haunches, and give them pause, is to bomb Mecca, and destroy their holy places. Power is all they understand and brutality, if they see their holy places leveled, they will give a second thought as to their timing, that this might not be the time to fulfill the Koran.
Just hedging against Allah's heaven being a virgin or two short.

After the Second World War, Europe was exhausted there was nothing standing between the Soviet Army and the channel except an exhausted Britain, already stretched fighting a communist take over in Greece.
Your President came to the rescue with the Marshall plan, this aid rebuilt Europe and stopped the Soviet Advance dead in Europe, without it the Soviet empire would of Africa and the Middle east would of followed.
The world could of looked very differently then.
Rebuilding a countries infrastructure and helping them back on there feet seems a wise investment to me, after all once they are up and running they like Europe and parts of Asia which America helped rebuild become more markets for American goods.

Well Hitler and Stalin would agree with you, although even though the Germans were extremely brutal in there anti Partisan operations throughout Europe during the last war, and I mean extremely brutal, wiping out whole population centres for any anti German activity, resistance to them grew and grew, brutality is always met by more brutality.
And no matter how much you may wish it I don’t think you will get the Western Military to behave like Communists or Nazis. For a start when I die I want to have a clean a slate as possible, and so do many others.
We will win this war, and we will win it while still staying decent human beings, if we become like the enemy then what is the choice for those on the other side who want to escape the yoke of oppression cast upon them by the dictators who call them self’s leaders.
