American Flag w/Green Stripes Instead of Red. I saw this flag at the prayer service at Yankee Stadium last Sunday ... and am wondering if anyone can tell me what that flag is? It looks very much like Old Glory except the red stripes are replaced with green stipes. I'd appreciate any info on that flag.

No this was not just some in the stands (though I saw a few small green and white flags there too) but this flag was ALSO in the Color Guard....so it's some sort of offical flag. Guess I'm not the only one who doesn't know what it is...but sure would like to find out! I told my sister that SOMEONE on FR would know! :0)

I didn't see what you are talking about, but it reminds me of a reverse-color flag that I saw in an optical-illusions book somewhere. If you stare at a "flag" with green and black stripes, a yellow field, and black stars for a minute and then move your gaze to a blank white wall, you will experience an after-image of a properly colored American flag.

It can't be because I saw it as one of the offical flags in the color guard. At first I saw a small one being waved by someone in the stands but then my husband, my son and I all took note that it was one of the flags in the Color Guard when they marched it out.

No, I don't believe it was...because the stripes were wider and less of them I think...and I don't recall seeing any yellow on it. I believe it had stars on it just like the American Flag.

Are you sure? We wondered about that...my hubby said it might be a NYPD Emerald Society flag or something but wasn't sure.
