I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the countless people who have supported and cared for me and our boys, since the tragic death of my husband Todd. The outpouring of love, kindness and prayer has been incredible and has helped to sustain me in these days of sorrow. My family and I still wrestle with what has happened, but are comforted with the knowledge that a sovereign God is in control and that God is not a God of disorder, but of peace. (I Corinthians 14:33)
In honor of Todds heroic actions and his memory and to honor our Lord Jesus Christ, I am pleased to announce my intention to establish The Todd M. Beamer Memorial Foundation.
Todd was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was also a committed Christian, secure in his faith and his eternity. Todd was by no means perfect, but the Fruits of the Spirit, (Galatians 5:22) love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control were evident in the way he lived his life each day.
My desire is that this Foundation honor Todds memory and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by bringing love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control to charitable organizations and causes. The Foundation will focus initially on areas that were passions for Todd - assisting youth, promoting Christian athletics, supporting the concept of family, and providing support for families of fellow victims of the September 11th attacks these are among the first priorities.
Again, I thank you for your support and prayers. Todd entered that fateful flight a free man, became a soldier and died a hero. Now it is time to honor his memory in a manner that is also honoring to our Lord. Are you ready? Lets roll!

God bless her and her family!
Cranbury, NJ is the Beamer's home town.
Beautiful words. Words that show the spirit of a nation that responds to hatred not with more hatred and blind acts of revenge, but with love, sympathy and a strong commitment to justice.
There were at least two other men who were together with Todd Beamer when they "rolled" against the hijackers. One of them had the last name Glick and the other man, I wish I knew his name-Does anyone know?
Beamer's sons will grow up knowing that their father was one of the greatest men who has ever lived on Earth. Our country is blessed by God for giving us the Beamers and the other men whose examples of self sacrifice were out of love and for Jesus Christ. We have a lot to live up to in this country because of their example and their Faith.
I know that day on the plane there was a fourth man with these three men just as there was a fourth man in the firery furnace with Misheck, Shadrack and Abegnigo. The fourth man? He is the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God.
The hijackers had the spirit of Anti-Christ because they were against all that Christ stands for. It is a shame and a waste that they were deceived and did not have the Love and Faith of Jesus Christ in their hearts.
But we rejoice that Beamer, Glick and the others had the greastest love possible for a man to have by laying down their lives just as Our Savior Jesus Christ laid down His life for us and for them. We rejoice in knowing they have received their reward of eternal life with Jesus Christ in the presence of Our Father, God.
One of them asked if they could call him on his cell phone...
It is a normal process for a grieving spouse to want to continue doing good in the name of their lost loved one... In this case it happens to be a Christian women who supports the ideals that we share here at Free Republic.
Far too often it is a gun-grabber, MADD-mom, etc.
You should be grateful and prayerful for this family... And you should retract what you posted as well.
On the contrary, your personal attack simply reinforces my position -- and confirms my intuitive first reponse insofar as the vulgarity of the timing of this opportunistic, exploitative, Clintonesque, advertising campaign is concerned.
I heard Bingham was unmarried.
I saw the Dateline special and I think you are referring to Tom Burnett's widow, Deena, who has three daughters.
