Glad to be associated with you.

The feeling is mutual. It is funny how there is such a bond between FReepers. I think of us as the patriots of the 21st century.

Newslady, we forgot to do the Second Line, a tradition in New Orleans. This is also called the umbrella dance. We had an American flag umbrella for the leader. Others, who form a line to do the dance, use umbrellas of varying sizes, or a napkin which is held up high and twirled as they strut to the music called Second Line. Oh well, next time.

I know--I thought about it later. Even though we forgot the Second Line, we did most of the other things we had planned. And we sure had fun, didn't we?

The Freepers who didn't come at the last minute really missed out
Well, as a Freeper who DID come at the last minute, I'm very glad I did. It was great to finally see everyone in person, and the food was wonderful. Thanks so much to Patriot1 and newslady and everybody who put this all together. SAS-MS, I brought a piece of your cake home to the Freeplet, and she loved it. It was good to meet you blam. I'm glad you made it home ok. I fell asleep on my sofa as soon as I got home, so I think I'm gaining on you in the "old f@rt" competition. ;^)

You meet as Freepers just one time and you have friends for life.

How true!

We're so glad you came also. It is great to put a face to the screen names that we see on FR. We also loved the story of how you chose your screen name. I'm sorry we didn't get any photos of you, though, since it seems that BayouLeo, who did a great job of taking photos for us, must have quit taking photos by the time you came. After an afternoon of interacting with all the wonderful FReepers who came to our party, I feel so energized and optimistic about the future of our great country. I am sure that your FReeplet will grow up with the same patriotic fervor that you have.

Yes, Swede Girl, I remember you well. It is so great to be a part of the FReeper family, where all of us FReepers all over the country have a special bond. And it's especially nice when we have actually met, as we did in DC for the special FReeper activities.

Swede Girl, I also remember you well. You traveled to Washington for several of the FreeRepublic rallies. You also attended the FReeper Inauguration Ball this past January, didn't you?

Oh, yes....the Inaugural Ball was the best, wasn't it? I am already looking forward to January 20,2005 when we will celebrate Dubya's second inauguration! I am sure that the election will NOT be as close as this one was. Our guy is proving himself to one and all.

You both have the perfect wardrobe for the newfound patriotism in this country. It is just too bad that it took the recent events to wake other people up and make them appreciate this country and the flag the way both of you have all along!

Thanks for throwing such a great party. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. The food and songs were great. J.R. has a great voice and the Freeperettes did a great job. The kids did a great job singing, too. They will never forget performing for us and that their family is so patriotic. They are lucky kids!

It was so nice to finally be able to put faces with names. Blam gave me my first hug from a Freeper.

They say great minds think alike, well it seems like MawMawQueen and I think an awful lot alike. I really enjoyed talking with her and her husband.

I wish we had had time to get to know Gulfcoast 6, Omega2 and all the others better. Hopefully there will be another get together soon.

Once again, thanks for the opportunity to enjoy the company of so many patriots.

I finally figured out who I had you (screen name) mixed up with. It was Chapita, don't ask me how that happened, Chapita is an old 'f@rt' like me and you are a lovely young lady, sorry.

LOL! I certainly don't consider you an old "f@rt". But, I think it is hilarious that you called me a young lady. It has been years and years since anyone under 80 has called me young! I have been married for thirty two years, even though I was a "child bride" I come closer to qualifying as an old f@rt myself instead of young. The AARP has me on their mailing list now (I hate when that happens). But, thanks for the compliment anyway.

Well, Blam I was one of them that said it couldn't be done in 2.5 hrs, but then, I did't know how you drive! Hope you are "in good" with those Mississippi State Troopers! It was great meeting you and everyone else at Patriot1's house yesterday. I am still eating some of the remains. Thanks, ladies, for the great time, good food, and fab people!

I agree. Dubya is proving to be the great leader that I expected him to be, and I thank God every day that he is our President and not AlGore. I'll definitely be at his second inauguration in 2005--hope the weather is better then. Ha!

You both have the perfect wardrobe for the newfound patriotism in this country.

Now when we wear our patriotic attire, people don't look at us as though we're kooks! As Blam said earlier, we were patriotic when patriotism wasn't cool.

We really enjoyed getting together with our fellow patriots. By the way, I regret that BayouLeo didn't get an individual photo of you and your hubby. He sure took a lot of pics, but still managed to miss a lot of people. What a great group of people FReepers are. Freepers are the best!
